Thanks for doing these reviews, Matt! Got the 2.5 and 3.5--brilliant wings. The 2.5 is a must-have for those ballistic days here in Maui. I weigh 82kg and can get going on a 3.5 with the 1550 V2 and 232 from about 14kts. FYI: The aramid used in these wings is a general form of aramid (aromatic polyamide) and not Kevlar, which is a para-aramid. I'd like to see Armstrong use Kevlar or Twaron for the V3, which is significantly more abrasion resistant and less prone to UV degradation. They should've/need to reinforce the edges of these patches as they can fray pretty easily. The V2 is not perfect but it's far superior to other wings in terms of performance and build quality (and QC), in my opinion.

HEY MATT! we are looking to get into wing foiling for this summer. What would you recommend for use to start with the armstrong A wing v2 or the slingwing v3 ?

Question :) would you know how the 5.5 a-wing v2 compares to the airush freewing v1 5m in terms of low end light wind power ? I am intermediate winger and looking for a light wind wing for 10 knot light winds but dont want to go too big. I am 88kg and would use a 2400 or 1850 HS armstrong wing on a 5'11 armstrong board in 10 knot winds and want to know if the 5.5 a-wing v2 will be fine to get or should i get the monster big a-wing v2 6.5m?

Thanks for the question. You will need to get the 6.5m v2 and the 2400 for riding in 10 knots at 88kg. You could make the 5.5m work if you are already a good and proficient foiler, but you will have more fun with the 6.5m. The 6.5m is surprisingly light and easy to handle. Compared to the 5m Airush, the 5.5m A Wing V2 will have a lot more power and upwind ability. It is closer in size to the 6m Airush.

@@REALmattnuzzo OK am proficient in getting the 2400 cf up in 15 knots on a 5m airush. So was hoping the 5.5 Armstrong v2 would be good for me for 15knots ? .what do you think?
@REALmattnuzzo3 жыл бұрын
@@Mickfoil1 Yeah the 5.5m will work for you if you are on the 5m Airush in 15 knots.

@@REALmattnuzzo hi sorry typo in my last message.. meant to say will the 5.5 Armstrong v2 be good in 10 knots. Also I see you have a special on 5.5. V1. Is it worth spending a bit extra to get the v2 ? Does the v2 have more power?

Hi Matt Really enjoying your reviews. I have been using a 5’5 Armstrong board paired with the 1850 and 2400. I only have a 4 mtr ozone and I need around 18-20 knot gusts to get foiling. I am 73 kg. What is a good A wing to get foiling in lower wind say 12-15 knots. I was imagining the 5.5 but is that too big ? Thanks Nic NZ

Yes the 5.5m is the right call and will match with your 4m ozone well. It doesn’t feel too big. I have been riding the 6.5 and 5.5m v2 a lot and they are a lot easier to handle than I expected.

how do you feel, compare with Ensis Score 5.2... how responsive and powerful it is? I need a Wing that can pick up my small board as fast as it can...
