Surprised Armie allowed an aluminum corrosion magnet

Thanks for watching. Good point. Was probably more a business decision than anything else. But from what we hear they ride well. I be going out this weekend and ride it and will do another video about it.

I think a Foil Drive Armstrong integrated mast is next :-)

Thanks for watching. How hilarious would that be. If it happens I make sure we have a video about it.

Interesting to see the base plate looks like it is die cast. Possibly the doodad too? The sideways screw through baseplate and mast is a great idea, that's where my Axis baseplates used to open up with a ground impact. Me being me, I infused my own carbon mast including baseplate and doodad so now it's a non issue😊
@StandUpMagazin2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, stoked you like the video. By the way what is a doodad?
@fluiditynz2 ай бұрын
@@StandUpMagazin The "doodad" is Axis name for the part that goes between aluminium mast and fuselage. In New Zealand doodad is also a generic name for an unknown part of machinery. If you look at a company like Konrad, they have multiple designs of them to work with different brands of fuselages.

@@fluiditynz ah I get it... I googled that and got the machine part that is why I was confused.

Great video! Is this a 725 performance mast you are weighing? And what length is the aluminium mast? And is it 60cm fuse? Thx 🙏
@StandUpMagazin2 ай бұрын
Thanks happy you liked it. The mast is 85cm alu and carb. The fuse on the alu is about 10cm longer than the one on my carb set. I have the 60cm fuse there. Sorry should have said that in the video.

@@StandUpMagazinThe performance mast may be more comparable in weight actually. I’d be interested to see a flex and weight test compared to the performance mast. I’m also curious to hear what it feels like in the water. When I got my PM, the felt drag was significantly lower!
@jasonleitch64782 ай бұрын
@@StandUpMagazin I see. Thx for the quick reply! So regards the fuse, are you saying the alu one is therefore 70cm?

Is that fuselage compatible with a carbon mast?
@StandUpMagazin2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Check the full video I show how it all is assembled. Short answer is no.

Armstrong has always had the white stripes like this, from the beginning.

@@jasonleitch6478I think he’s joking because a lot of armie fans talked trash on Axis when they only offered an aluminum mast. I don’t get into any of the foil wars stuff, I just love my Armie setup with the HA980 🙂

Armstrong is based in New Zealand. There is no aluminum in NZ, only aluminium. So, Armstrong is debuting aluminium masts. 😄

Thanks for watching yes you noticed right you can spell that word in two different ways: Aluminum and Aluminium. I had to choose..
