What board dimensions were they riding?
@StandUpMagazin10 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching and question. The board sizes were mostly in the standard range also depending on rider weight. I would say anything from 7’8 down to maybe 6’8 on the low end.
@bohdanafanasyev364211 күн бұрын
Hi, great review. I usually ride 60l board 5'0 - 23" starting 10 kt (with 70kg) but would like to size down a bit. Do you already have some general feeling on how many litres can be shaked off (if possible) with these new DW like shapes comparing to what people are used to ride already?
@StandUpMagazin11 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. 10kt sounds a bit light I guess you have to have a big wing? Maybe 6m. I am sure you can shave of some liter no problem. Just a question of how big you wing will be and how strong the wind is.

@@StandUpMagazin It's a really niche group of frothers that would be interested in this race that you're targeting anyway so I wouldn't worry about getting artsy with it. Moving forward for the next ones I'd really like to see who the favourites are, a clear solid shot of the start - how many people got up on foil straightaway and how long it took the others to get up. Any dramas at the front/ battles between leaders - paddlers vs pumpers at the finish. I appreciate your efforts but it seemed like a raw footage taster/ teaser for a more comprehensive longer video to that will follow. Mahalo bro

@@66crayfish thanks. For all your feedback back. Shooting with a photo camera, a GoPro and my phone trying all at once makes it a bit hard. On discussion itself, let everyone share their opinion, we do not need to agree, but let's be respectful. With regards to pro tour, we need events that bring the masses together, and where the pros inspire the amateurs to be better and where the average Joe gets motivated to be their best. Where a race within a race can take place, where no 525 wants to beat no 524. And create events that get mass public recognition, thru main stream and non-mainstream media. We need outside interest in our sport to attract sponsors and funding. Would be great to have a Samsung, Qatar Airways or KIA to be a title sponsor of a SUP event one day, an event that has the kind of ring to it such as Tour de France, or the very recent iconic Unbound Gravel Race
@StandUpMagazinАй бұрын
Thank you Paco fully agree. More races like Lake Rocks and maybe find an enthusiastic company with money who likes to support.
