What Fuse and Stab were you using. Have you tried Jump & Pump off the dock with the HA1125. Do you think HA1850 will be the next Wing Armie brings out? Enjoy your great, informative productions

Hi IREWE905 ---we were on the 72cm mast, 60cm fuselage, and HS232 for a portion of the footage. Then switched over to the A+ and rode both the 60cmA+ fuse, and the 50cmA+ fuse with the HS232V2 and the flying V. Worked great on all. Ultimately - our favorite configuration is 72cm mast, 50cm fuse, flying V. Ah....the inner workings of Armie's mind....tough to tell. It would be nice to have a bit more surface area for winging in up/down wind conditions. We did not to a dock pump test on this but I'll tell you that you'll need to get a good initial push. Once going at pace, you can pump this wing a LONG ways - the trick is to keep it at speed. Best, Tim

Great video Tim. Which Armstrong board are you using in this video? Thanks!

Thanks Viv -- When on Armstrong -- we're riding the SKT311. Let us know if you'd like to order one (or something very similar from Armstrong). halflifet.5@gmail.com or (909) 698-0401 Cheers Tim

Is this the new freighter wave slayer? Looking forward to adding this to my quiver soon.
@HALFLIFEVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
While wicked fast.....no....for the freighter speed we're going to stick with the HS1050. We tested out the HS850 for faster/bigger waves - it was legit but the surface area/speed combo for the HS1050 will keep it as the go to for freighters :-) Tim

Hi. Have army foils. But wanna buy the slingshot wing craft v2, 60 L board. However their foil tracks, as all other brands, are set way back, when compared to the armstrong tracks position. Do you know if it is compatible ? Or what is the trick to make it work ? Shims ?Thanks for your infos and fun videos too
@HALFLIFEVIDEO2 жыл бұрын
Hi Armando! Thanks for checking out our videos. Yes - the tracks in the Wing Craft are compatible with your Armstrong Foil Kit. Different manufacturers make different decisions on length of mast track as well as material within the mast track. (Armstrong carbon mast tracks - most others plastic). You won't get the same length of mast track but it should work for you unless you are a FG rider - then your best bet is the Armstrong WS411. Hope that helps! Tim

I have wondered, whether foils like yours, could be used for clean power anchor to sea floor ⚓ using ocean swells, to pushing multiple foils, up and down, pumping compressed air to a turbine.? Best wishes.

Interesting question. I have no idea but it seems worth investigating! Best, Tim

how is it holding up 2 years later, for winging do you use it much? chopped?
@HALFLIFEVIDEO Жыл бұрын
What's up AK? Hope the weather up there is ok. A lot of folks did chop this wing. For the HA wings - it is best for steadier winds. They have a relatively high stall speed so if you ride in up/down conditions it will not be your favorite wing. That said - if your wind is fairly steady they are fun. Fast and responsive. AND.....you can get a great deal on them at our website half-life.live and other sites where folks sell them. This is a good addition to your quiver once you have the standard sizes covered. Intermediate + for this foil. Best, Half-Life Crew

How does this compare to the 1550v2? Which is easier to dock start? Which is easier to pump in open water on lakes?
@HALFLIFEVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
Hi Darrell -- If you can get your initial speed and maintain it, the HA1125 will out pump every other Armstrong foil (and most others as well). That said - you need to maintain that speed or it falls from the sky. The 1550V2 is much more forgiving for both turning, pumping, as well as a slower stall speed. Depending upon your weight and environment, the HS1850 is worth looking at for dock start and pumping. No where near as fast as the 1125 but a much, much slower stall speed. (909)698-0401 if you want to discuss. Cheers, Half-Life Team

Am I too heavy to pump the 1850? I can pump it on the wave but on flat water I can’t. I’m 220lbs
@HALFLIFEVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
Hi Hugh, I just sent you an email. Thank you for checking out our videos. No - you're not too heavy to pump at 220LB. It's most likely your technique. Our recommendation is to do a Zoom class with us. We can record the session and help you with your technique. Odds are good there's some stance, posture issues that are holding you back. Best, Tim

How do you guys think this wing does for kiting?

Hi Vinh -- I wouldn't see kiting as it's first discipline but let's give it a go! Tim

The flexing mast didn't bother you? The current Armstrong masts are too skinny and can't keep up with loads produced by these HA wings.
@HALFLIFEVIDEO2 жыл бұрын
Hi Aquapole -- no - that hasn't been our experience. Across the various brands - we've found this mast to perform the best. That said - there's always something better on the horizon. What mast do you believe to be the stiffest....or shall we say...the best mix of stiff and flex when needed.

Would you please expand the range of foil manufacturers you review? Getting to be a little too much like an Armstrong infomercial via HL. Thanks.

Hi Chris -- you bet. Great feedback thank you. Is there any particular foil manufacturer you're interested in? Tim
