I’m now 18 getting ready to graduate high school and sir these videos have been an absolutely incredible resource for me and I really appreciate it. I am currently in flight school flying helicopters, working towards getting my PPL, which hopefully will give me an edge and make me a little more competitive on the board. Once again thank you for all of these videos.

@@merrittorius Progressing slowly. Current NG. SIFT complete with good score, physical sent to Rucker but not yet stamped. Getting letters from current commander and battalion commander. Big thing is coordinating with various WOSMs regarding boards and working those back channels. Will need an age waiver

Hello sir, This is well after youve made this video but i board on the 13th of june. In indiana. I was told to report in OCPs which seems a little strange to me because i thought boards were formal affairs. Any tips, tricks, and recommendations outside of what you had in the video?

Did you have to get an age waiver? I ask because I'm 32 now but I turn 33 in January and I know the age cutoff is 32. I'm worried that once I turn 33 any chance of going aviation warrant will be gone. I just retook the ASVAB and scored an overall of 93, my GT was 133. So going aviation is a possibility that I haven't had in the last 14 years of being in the army.

How exactly does this work for someone not even enlisted before? I'm 30 yrs old and I'm thinking about becoming a rotor wing pilot in the army. However I've heard "no older than 33 by the time you meet the board". I also only have an associates so let's assume 32 to 33 by the time I even have a bachelors to qualify.....is my goal unrealistic? Do they allow waivers? I can't find anything that gives a timeline of how the pipeline works.

They do, they also have "chair to air" so no one with prior experience can join. Ask a recruiter to help ya with it

You don't need a bachelor's to qualify but it certainly adds value, but so will the associates. Your goal is achievable. Even if you exceed the age and need a waiver it's achievable. Just get started. Make the phone calls. Get the points of contact for where you're at and get moving on it. It has been a fun journey for me and if you're passionate about it Im sure itll be a similar experience.

You can be a straight civilian and join as well. I didn't have to enlist or sign one paper to have an interview with the board.
