Hey I just wanted to thank you guys for your amazing speedpaint 2.0. I am a disabled gamer and can't paint for long periods without pain but speedpaint has let me actually put painted minis on the table. Some of the best stuff I have ever used so I will probably buy the complete fanatic set too. Thanks again.

I like that you're showcasing that 'there is no right answer' when painting.

Do you think you could do a video for each method? In case someone wants to follow that specific method and not be confused with the other methods? Thanks!
@echo-hotel9 ай бұрын
Yeah. This was fun. But I was lost 90% of the time.
@ChaseDaOrk37678 ай бұрын
That would be nice

Great stuff as always guys, some constructive criticism though, I found the format a little confusing to follow, although the video would be longer it would be alot easier to follow along with if you did each method one at a time. Hope that makes sense, I have just bought the fanatic mega box and I love it, thanks again.

Same. It jumped around a little so there was a loss of continuity.

I just used some of your new Fanatic paints. Glad I took the chance on them and definitely will get some more in the future when I need stuff.

These are all great methods! Army Painter paints are quickly becoming my go to for my commission work and personal projects!

I have gone from a 'eh, fArmy Painter is pretty bad' to a big fan of Army Painter over the last year. Seriously good job on developing guys!

It is great to see the variety depending upon the application and colours chosen. I think a little from columns 1, 2, 3, 4 would make a great model to my preference. Thanks for the experimentation.

Would love to see something similar for all the first founding chapters.

As someone who is new to the hobby, you guys have been an amazing starter guide for me. I got the gamemaster starter with 5 minis and have primed them in black and dry brushed grey then white ( slapchop, underpaint etc ) and will getting the speedpaints full set soon to finish them off ( I may have ruined my dwarf and need to find out how to strip it... Used regular paint which got rid off all my highlights and mid tones you get from slapchop ) Also going to have get your wet palette as well. Its awesome seeing you listen and make your products better as well, thanks for all the guides also.

I chose ancient honey speed paint for my lamenters and I love the color and the way it looks and the coverage was pretty amazing with the brush

Nice job in the variety of methods. Perhaps a speed contest next? Speed paint vs Airbrush vs Quickshade dipping just for a laugh

Great Summary Video per method, a more detailed video per method would be excellent. I like the cross over use of selected speedpaints which I have not experimented with.

Various ways to paint an army, with multiple ranges, is a huge reason I'm starting to fully convert over to Army Painter products.
@lordhelwintr2839 ай бұрын
I have grown to love the army painter range. As I’ve got more confident in my painting I’ve switched out my citadel paint for army painter. More color guides for the main space marine chapters I think would be great for beginners. Right now it’s easier to buy citadel paint for the chapters as a beginner.
@Gloomshimmer9 ай бұрын
so you switched from mediocre paints to the worst in the industry? I think youre a masochist.

@@Gloomshimmerhave you tried any besides their original? Isn’t your comment overly childish in your language? I don’t see this as a child’s hobby. Maybe I’m wrong.

I've been doing option # 4 (using red dragon primer only - no more base coating the armor) for my Blood Ravens marines then slapping Berserker Bloodshade (shade paint from Citadel) on it to add shadows and fill the recesses. I find that the Army Painter primer also serves as a good primer + base combo skipping one step in re-basing the model. I thought this method was "heretical" and me just being lazy but good to know it is a valid option.

@TheArmyPainter this is amazing! I bought the full speed paint set back in the fall, bought about a month ago the full airbrush set, and just bought the full warpaints fantastic set! Question, do you have a digital guide or something where we can see color matches (or as close as possible) for all three sets?
@TheArmyPainter9 ай бұрын
Thanks! No guides like that yet, but it’s something we have in the queue

Are we absolutely sure that first method starts with Demigod Flames? The paint swatch looks so dark compared to what’s being applied to the model. Just don’t wanna buy it and get the wrong color!

I think going black under yellow for the airbrush method was unnecessary. I am not an widely experienced Painter, but going for a brown or skintone under yellow keeps it more vibrant

Those botches are killing your paintjob, try doing layer paints and paint in the shadows instead of just trusting the shades, you can always go back to shades when you have more brush control, its going to advance your painting something fears.
@TheArmyPainter9 ай бұрын
That’s 100% a good and valid method as well. We were going for a faster, army painting method that can be more easily applied across a lot of models at once consistently with this tutorial. We also do more advanced tutorials that use purposefully placed shadows like you’re talking about.
@Gloomshimmer9 ай бұрын
its easier. Use imperial fist contrst or Kimera yellow. Youre yellows are awful.
