Banned at our school as teachers all turned as Nazi officers. The ranks were all out of wrong with their job functions. Head was a sergeant for example. We didnt know who salute.

We used to have an army surplus store in town , my mum used to get me stuff from there , it was tough going through senior school dressed as a Japanese colonel

I used to buy stuff from Ryders when I was actually in the army back in the early 80s and take it back to camp. I could get stuff the army could not supply us with…so pleased it’s still going.

I remember Ryder’s from when I was a student at Birmingham University and I was in the OTC, the amount of kit I bought in there, from ankle twistiest, stuff sacs and pouches to a combat jacket.

Very good prices for the UK. Our local shop has good prices but go anywhere out west and the prices just get stupid high.

I have to question the gas mask purchase. I use various types of face masks for my job. Using the wrong one in the wrong situation would be harmful. What is that type of mask filtered for?

The masks are old military issue from Eastern Europe I believe. They are military issued CBRN filters, I am unsure at what micron limit they hold in terms of particle size. Probably best to stick with a more modern respirator in most cases.
