It depends on what you mean but overseas. Hawaii and Alaska? Then yes. But if you mean a base in another country no

I have question about deployments. Do you deploy for combat operations or something else? How long can a deployment last? And if I'm married, is deployment different(like less time, more pay)? Great videos btw! Hello from Puerto Rico!!
@aveontaefrazier3 жыл бұрын
Hey! So you can deploy to either it’s not really up to you and it will depend a lot on what your job is. Air Force most are 6 months. Army 6 months to a year. If you are married you’ll get more money based on the number of dependents and bah rate in your area. They don’t make the times less because you are though. Hope this helps!

So I want to no the air national guard, but only one school in my state has rotc for it. I want to do it until I finish my bachelors and then go on to be air force active, is that as equally possible? I’ve been told by others that army is easier to do that with. Also what do you mean by more job opportunities in army? I want to eventually be a lawyer and I would like to get into JAG.
@aveontaefrazier4 жыл бұрын
It’s absolutely possible to do rotc in the air national guard. Before accepting my appointment to the academy that was my plan at uconn. It’s pretty easy to do the in the air national guard but you get more benefits for doing it in the army guard. Also, there are a lot of jobs applicable to the civilian world in the Air Force so I wouldn’t worry about that. If you goal is to go jag either is fine.

@aveontaefrazier3 жыл бұрын
@@vanessaparisse1277 I wouldn’t stress it too much tbh. What I would do is go to your local library or order an asvab book on Amazon and use that. They come with practice problems and explanations. The best part is they usually come with a couple practice test which is huge to see what your ball park score would be. You can also ask a recruiter to send you a practice test which will give you a feel for what it should be like as well.

If one gets rejected by big army/Air Force by meps due to something such as ADD can one try and join either one of the guards? In other words is it easier to join the guard?

I am finishing up undergrad and want to take a year off before law school to do BT and possibly AIT. Is it possible to do both within 10ish months? Also, is it possible to delay my service for 3 years so I can attend law school without having to serve as well? I know those questions have a lot of variables, thanks for taking the time to respond (if you can). Appreciated the video!
@aveontaefrazier4 жыл бұрын
Good point. I would be inclined to believe you can definitely get both done within 10 months. It does depend on your job though so do your research. Im not sure what you mean by delay your service tho.

Since the air national guard is a lot smaller than the army national guard is it harder to join ?

It’s not really harder to join as long as you have a base near you. The challenge is probably more accessibility over anything else. Google an ANG recruiter near you!
