@@MegaWoodswalker Yeah I'm finding it difficult to find - 1) WARM light + 2) Zoomable... This is important as I want more control over what areas are lit for long exposure photography. It seems every manufacturer either gives you 1 OR 2 but not both. Maglite has a classic series LED that's warm white, but I'm hesitant in ordering as I'm worried it just won't be bright enough for longer distance shots. I usually have about 15-20 second long exposures, and I want to paint in objects during that time from anywhere from 10' away up to 500' away. There just seems to be a big gap in the market as I've been looking now for 4 days and cannot find a good quality one that's not made in CHINUH where you're scrolling among many reviews that claim the thing broke within a month. The only one I've found so far in the 2800-3500 kelvin range are those scuba diving lights, but again, questionable quality... This then leads me to wonder: How easy it would be to find the right light/quality/zoomability, but simply go to cree and order a replacement led with the color temp I want?

Nice location. Here’s a question for you. Will LED flashlights survive an EMP or would you also need traditional flashlights to be truly prepared?

A Faraday cage might work. Wrap your flashlight in an insulating material such as bubble wrap. Then place the light in a sealed metal box. The bubble wrap minimizes the electrical connection with the metal box. Keep in mind that if you are dealing with an extreme solar flare, the grid may be down, so you would also want to include a solar charging device along with any protected batteries in the metal box too.

If you have an Incandescent MAGLITE which are still available. You could upgrade it to LED and keep the spare Incandescent in the tail cap. I wonder how batteries handle EMPs though? Would the Alkaline batteries leak? Li-ion rupture and explode? Who knows.

I'm confused. At 2:18 you said the white light is neutral white then at 2:36 the warm is also neutral. Are they both neutral or is (white = neutral and warm = warm) or (white = cool and warm = neutral)? Looks like the last one on the video but I've learned not to trust video when it comes to color temps.

Hi Walker, I love you videos. I think you need to go to you local fishing gear shop and get either the double snap clips or a round clip. You could do it with stainless steel split rings but you should check that out. Split rings come in various sizes and breaking strain but the smaller ones have a higher breaking strain than the bigger ones for the same wire gauge, usually. Sometimes they are harder to find if you not near a salt water fishing area, or you could order online. They can be a PITA to find the correct size. I would not trust paracord internal braids.

Sometimes I use a flashlight for extended periods hiking if the weather creates too much glare for a headlamp. Could be for a good number of miles. Split rings/metal clips etc etc seem to dig into my hands etc when holding near the tail. You're right about them being good and AT includes a perfectly serviceable one however I just don't like um. Hi Kevin, nice flashlights. I like the C2 better. I'm like you, I also hate when they don't include sheaths with flashlights and knives. Good luck trying to find the right size sheath! I like that the Armytek comes with the sheath. Also like that you can either use CR123 or rechargeable batteries and that the mode switch is on the head, lot more comfortable and easier to use in the dark. Thanks for the review. Is the shipping expensive since the Armytek company is in Canada?

I just checked their site "From USA (2-3 Days) $US8.00". This is new as it was maybe 12 (if my memory is correct) from Canada when I bought these. Maybe they have a USA shipping address now? Not sure.

Would have stayed out longer but I developed leg cramps and decided to bag it. I can't keep up with those young kids who put in 20 to 30 miles a day for weeks on end. Must be getting old.
