armytek makes some of the best lights imo. you cant go wrong with one. I ended up going with the larger model of that and still love the thing

Love armytek, have several of their lights, but decided to go with the Sofirn HS10 for night running due to being smaller, lighter, takes 16340 cells, and best of all uses a standard USB-C charging port so it's something I can use and keep in the truck. Can't beat it for the price. Wish other manufacturers would switch to USB-C for charging instead of trying to push their own proprietary systems and forcing consumers to carry all sorts of cables. There's not much more convenience slapping on a magnet than simply plugging in a cord.

these double click hold in turn quarter turn for this and that is great when you first get the light ,,,but in a couple of weeks when the instructions are gone and my pee brain memory has failed????

A while ago, I would have leaned towards agreeing with you. But the more lights I get, I now firmly agree with you. We will be back to the days where we were just happy the light turned on and some light came out. Who knows what else the light can do?

16340: The diameter is 16mm The length is 34mm The 0 on the end is to indicate that it’s a round battery. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway. The same rule of thumb would apply to other batteries, i.e. 18650 21700 26650 18350 14500 10440 Often, the actual length of a battery such as an 18650 can vary, especially if it’s a protected cell with a PCB (protection circuit board) installed beneath the cell wrapper at one end or the other. A protected 18650 can easily become 67 or 68mm long and then, as a result, not fit into certain lights and external battery charger bays.

Yep, I'd of bought that in like 13sec until I found out no USB-C. I like standard stuff. Don't worry I'm about a 98% conversion rate buying anything you do a video on. Almost had me and I'm a flashlight Destroyer. I'm not sure why I think it's the click button. I go through 5-10 flashlights per year I kill them not because of abuse thought. Keep up the good videos

Meh... I'm old school when it comes to lights. I like the ones that at minimum use commonly available non-proprietary primary's, are regulated, no PWM, have high CRI emitters, use glass lenses, have a clean/simple user interface (UI) free of all novelty modes like 'disco', 'turbo', ultra low 'firefly, etc etc etc... But thats just me.

I hear you, the thing is the rechargeable batteries are so much more powerful at 3.7v as opposed to 1.5v I think in standard over the counter batteries. You can get the best of both worlds if you find a flashlight that uses rechargeable AA 16450, (I hope I’m getting that number right)as well as standard AAs.
