To Arn’s point about not being able figure out why more people weren’t subscribing to the network when they launched it: Netflix and Hulu got there first. For a household paying Netflix $12-15/month for a huge library of content, and paying Hulu $7-10/month for a variety of different current TV shows (including wrestling) and movies, it was hard for some folks to justify spending another $10/mo on “just wrestling.”

The old-style wrestling had better storylines with a slow, methodical approach. This method built rivalry and fan compassion. It appears today wrestling has become more like the Springer Show or some Marvel character instead of the vice versa. I remember when hot babes would be around ringside. The wrestling today appeases a different demographic audience.

While my knee jerk is to agree, that's gonna change to the person. Some people just like the stuff they saw growing up whether that's pre-Hogan era, Hogan era, New Gen, Attitude... I've even seen people defend the rotten Ruthless Aggression era. If I got WWE Network, it would be to watch docs and old content.
