Rikishi went off on a foul-mouthed rant about how after 17 years in the business Jey earned the title, and it was a mark of trust and respect that WWE had faith in Jey to carry the ball as Intercontinental Champion. And then Jey very quickly dropped the belt back to Bron. So, according to big Kish, WWE must have very quickly LOST all that faith, respect, trust for Jey. Maybe they realized Jey ain't worth a 💩? You see, Mr. Mushnick hates pro wrestling, but he's not content to change the channel. He doesn't want you to watch it, either. "But Phil Mushnick not only hates wrestling, he hates wrestling fans. Well, Mr. Mushnick, I'm a wrestling fan and a lot of the people who read the New York Post and TV Guide are wrestling fans, too. We don't enjoy being insulted by publications we pay money to read. We don't appreciate being told we don't know how to parent our children. We don't want a pompous, self-righteous man with a grudge sitting on top of Mount Olympus looking down his nose at us campaigning to take away the constitutional right that every American is guaranteed, that is freedom of speech, freedom of choice, and freedom to enjoy whatever entertainment we choose. But if this has been going on so long, why am I mad right now? Because recently Phil Mushnick used Brian Pillman's death to call for another outcry against wrestling. "Well, Brian Pillman was a friend of mine. From the time he was born with throat cancer he had the courage to undergo 36 different throat operations. He had the courage to withstand the punishment of pro football and ten years as a pro wrestler. He had the courage to come back from a car wreck that shattered his ankle and from a lot of other personal tragedies. Then one night, he went to sleep in a hotel room and he died. And for you, Phil Mushnick, to use his death as an excuse for another call to action in your one-man vendetta against pro wrestling is more vulgar and more obscene than anything that you've ever falsely accused the wrestling industry of being guilty of. So on behalf of the wrestling fans, the wrestling industry, the friends and family of Brian Pillman, and anyone in this country that denies any one man the right to force his morals and his beliefs on all of us and to take away our constitutional rights, on behalf of those people, I say go to hell Phil Mushnick, and try to reform things down there because we're doing just fine without you."

The best part was when Mushnick was imitating Russo's bro and told him not to call him bro when they had their shouting match 😂

If Mushnick was 40 years younger he would be no different than the twitter smart mark dirt sheet website nerds sperging out over everything now a days.

@Robby_C nah, Muschnick is the son of a promoter. Very different from those guys.

@@jonathancurran5366The guy you are thinking about is Sam Muchnick, who produced St. Louis Wrestling at the Chase in the 60s and 70s. The WWF did a tournament in his honour in 1986 that was won by Harley Race. The last names look so similar that so many people think the promoter and the tabloid columnist are related which isn’t the case.

How did Russo get a degree in journalism when he can't even write properly?
@ravenlitАй бұрын
Honestly, it's not just the word "properly" that Russo has trouble with; there's a lot of words he can't write.
@codesm96Ай бұрын
You marks will say any BS lies. Russo is an experienced and educated writer unlike marks like you who are in no position to talk. What job do you do? What did you study in? Tell us marks. Marks think they know everything.
@liamfenech6609Ай бұрын
@codesm96 testimony from Jim himself who he was in production meetings with confirmed he couldn't even spell basic words properly you ask any colleague he's worked with in wrestling and about 95% of them will tell you Vince Russo is a complete moron who only got hired in wrestling to shot him up after consistent pestering from him for a job Vince McMahon had to keep him on a Leash because when Vince Russo went to WCW he had no quality control and could just put on TV whatever the hell he wanted WCW was struggling before he went there but him being there put WCW in a coma which they never woke up from when he worked in TNA fans in the building were chanting fire Russo I challenge you to name me one positive contribution Vince Russo has ever made in professional Wrestling
@codesm96Ай бұрын
@@liamfenech6609 Mark, if you said this garbage to Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Taker and Mic Foley, they would bury you forever for not giving Russo the credit he deserves for helping them elevate their careers around his storylines which he worked very closely with talent on creating. I'd rather listen to Stone Cold and The Rock's opinion instead of a glorified, basement dwelling mark like you. Stone Cold himself said on an interview with Vince Russo said that Russo was 'an important and irreplaceable part of the attitude era'. That alone means more than anything your mark ass can ever say
@codesm96Ай бұрын
@@liamfenech6609 Also, this hate for Russo is personal because Russo put him out of a job. That wasn't Russo's fault, that was McMahon's call. Russo never politicked, he never tried to freeze Cornette out, he only gave McMahon his honest views and ideas about what shows should be like or what to do for angles and some of the characters. Nobody can make McMahon make decisions. Only he does that. McMahon however relies heavily on the advice of people like Patterson, Briscoe, Prichard and at the time Russo as well after he started heeding suggestions. McMahon saw Cornette going in one direction (towards the past recreating popular wrestling eras such as the 80s) and Russo going in the other direction (towards the future and mainstream entertainment which led to even bigger popularity than before) and he decided to go 100% with Russo. I would be pissed if I was Cornette and I gave my blood, sweat and tears but that's just the way the business is. If Russo's ideas weren't making McMahon money, he wouldn't have lasted a year as Head Writer by 98 but fortunately that's when WWF finally beat WCW in ratings and kept making that gap bigger with record ratings until Russo left in October 99.
