Cactus Jack was one of those Heels that the fans loved and respected. Mick's appearance had Heel written all over it and the fans knew they would get their money's worth. The Hell in the Cell will be an icon match for bumps, and it will be there for a long time.

I remember when I first saw Cactus Jack in WCW in the early 90s. I think Jim Ross was doing the commentary and was talking about how Cactus just seemed to enjoy the pain when he took those bumps or when he was selling. I couldn't help but compare him to Freddy Krueger from that point on because that's how he was in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Mick Foley just played that part of your worst nightmare of the kind of guy so well. They should have used him in commercials for why you shouldn't pick up hitch hikers, lol. It's one thing when you have a heel character that just goes out of his way to act like a jerk. It's an entirely different ballgame when you have a heel character that just seems legitimately disturbed. He doesn't mean to be that way. That's just how he is, and he has some legitimate psychological issues and that is what Mick Foley gave us. It was kind of unsettling because you had never seen anything like that before in pro wrestling at that time, at least not in a way where it was done so well.

Crazy to think that Mick Foley and Jeff Hardy ended up having longer careers than Arn.

Love the headline. By the way, he spelled his name with an E. Evel Kneivel.
