If anything in life brings a favorite memory, this is it. We listened to WMEX as kids continuously . Arnie, you brought us many joys, and made us sing and play to your tunes, and I am so thrilled to have the pleasure to see you on You tube I sent your links to all my (OLD)as I am buddies of that era. Hat off to you ol buddy, we loved you then , and wish you could still be on so we could enjoy you again. Again, thanks for the deepest, and fine memories of the 50s and 60. Nova Scotia Can.

RIP to a radio legend of the Boston area who my father remembers fondly from his youth. Certainly a unique character with a great understanding of humor and verbal communication as a whole. You dont see radio guys like this anymore. Rest in peace!

I met Arnie at Charlie's Kitchen in Harvard Square-he owned WRKO (I think) at the time. I jokingly asked him if he'd DJ my 10th CHLS reunion and he did it . He brought all of the stuff he shows here, plus hula hoops. It was the best reunion ever. I remember lying in bed, transistor radio under my pillow, waiting to hear "Night Train"-all aboard! Thanks Arnie.

We were walking in Ogunquit Maine and there stood Arnie, I spoke to him. I was in Jr High the years WooWoo was on the radio. The guy was awesome talking to me he looked the same just older, like all of us over 60. Kids today will never know what real clean fun radio was, we grew up at a great time holding the Transistor Radio to our ear. I was just reading that J J Jeffries (Melvin X) sold his radio stations in 1999 for 63 million. Smart investment.

Here here! "Adventure car hop is the place to go." Had that little radio in my ear from around the 4th grade through high school. Great tunes from those times.

Arnie “Woo Woo” Ginsberg (not to be confused with “the original Dean” of Jan & Dean) and Russ “The Weird Beard” Knight (1962) were my favorites of the Increase Records Cruisin’ series. Arnie was hilarious; he sounded like a little kid, and I mean that in a good way. Rest in peace Arnie.

I also grew up listening to Arnie the Woo. when he would do the Adventure Car Hop commercial, kids would drive down to Saugus from way up in Maine just to get the free 45! I had to laugh when he mentioned the phisoHex pimple medicine. I used that too...and years later, they had to make it precription only because too much of it would burn your skin.

I remember the dat that Arnie woo woo came to visit at work. He didn't realize that the computer room had a raised floor and that I had a locked double-dutch door. Woo woo was on the floor. He was the star of the new V66 back then......

I'm formulating a large playlist on my ipod to be played with an old car radio and I'm wondering if there is any way I can access more samples of Arnie "Woo Woo" Ginsburg to be played in between every few songs to create a very realistic sounding WMEX radio broadcast from back then, that I could also potentially play at some local car shows and cruise night events! Is there any way I could contact anyone who has any files or this sort of information? Thank you any help is appreciated!

All you 1510 WMEX fans do you remember Sunday nights after !0 P.M. when they signed-off. Nothing but dead air, A few distant radio stations fading in and out. Like being out in space. Kind a lonely empty feeling .

If I remember right, Arnie would DJ to 10:00 PM. Then we would turn to WBOS 1600 for the Ken Mayer show that started at 9:30. I see Joe Smith from WVDA mentioned on Google, anyone know what happened to him?
