my goodness, Cooke is certainly an idiomatically - writing student of Hindemith, isn't he? that's a good thing, both here, and in the organ piece of his I'm adapting for manuals only. The score was (legally, mind you) photocopied a long time ago and I stupidly deemed it "too weird" for church gigs. How silly. He writes very lyrically, I just didn't feel like learning to play it properly. I play horn in F too, but there's no way I could pull this off at the moment. lol. Nice work.

Ah what wonderful memories this brings back! This is such a good solid solo/recital piece to play. Steve, great job as always. I am curious your thoughts on the Schmid and how it plays. By the way, I noticed that the balance seemed a little piano heavy on this video. Without jumping to conclusions, could that be the audio setup or the new horn (or something else entirely!)? Thanks again for posting all this wonderful material for folks to study and enjoy.
