Yeah, but this film is almost nothing like the book. It takes the basic outline, a dystopian future where the masses are controlled through sadistic entertainment, much like the old Roman Circus, and that’s about it. Of course, it’s probably still too soon since 9/11 for a completely accurate version of the ending. Still, most badass tragedy EVER. I think Arnold could have done it justice. @@ftniceberg874The Hunger Games were books first that got made into movies so it's not really movie industry problem, it's the author who was using well worn trope of humans fight to death for society's entertainment.

I randomly found @Space Ice yesterday, and I binge watched every single one of your videos. Keep up the awesome content. You've had me in tears laughing to many times for you not to be everywhere! Thanks Space Ice!

That's the downside of bingeing. You watch 45 Space Ice videos and then you're forced to realize he doesn't upload 45 videos a day. Sad.

Not even joking. I had my sixth month old baby sitting with me watching this video. He was loving it, couldn't stop laughing for some reason. His grandma came over to pick him up and he wasn't having any of it. He just had to keep watching.

The short story that this film was adapted from is also awesome, really tense and dark. Different to the film. Stephen King writing as Richard Bachman

The book was absolutely awaesome, not to mention the only real similarity is the names of some of the characters! One of the veryfew Stephen King adaptations that stands as good all on its own. The funny thing is, i bet 75% of the people that have seen this movie have absolutely no idea that it was adapted from a Stephen King book!

When we were kids we played at a big empty mall which was open on Sunday just because there was 1 McDonalds. We often played a game we called "Running Man" , one kid was Arnie and had to be tagged 5 times by different kids to lose the game. Great times!

I always loved the Jesse Ventura character in this movie. Smartest dude in not just this movie, but virtually any action movie. Dude just GTFOs and they resort to deepfakes. ED: Also that security guard at the end. That was pure gold.
