Whipping out Mayhem riffs on a PLINI plug. Now I've seen everything.

Clean riffs? ... Am I on the wrong channel? :) ... Sounds great sir.

My favorite of the Archetype series. If you drop the reverb and delay and push the OD, you can get a straight up Entombed "Wolverine Blues" era tone. The plugin is so much fun to explore.

I just tried the presets too and it really surprised me, I wasn't expecting it to be nearly as heavy as the NTS/Nameless suites. Great review as always, thank you so much Arnold!

Thanks for the review! If I may, maybe you could try side-chaining your guitar to your mic (or mixing it down manually if you prefer) so we don't hear your guitars strings from the microphone. That would help hearing the actual amp sound more clearly ;) Thanks

Nice song again! Really cool! Also in your Framus Television videos there are two things I really digg: those bluesy vibes and the early Van Halen sensibilities sneaking in. More of that please ;)

With early I mean "Fair Warning" and "Women and Children first." Sorry to offend ;)

Watched this again since the Archetype Nolly came out. Trying to get a read on the difference of the clean tones. The Plini clean amp seems really special to me while the Nolly clean amp comes across pretty generic in the vids so far. If you do a review on the Nolly Plugin please compare the two!!

Do you think this is a step up from the Nameless and NTS models? Sounds DAMN good to me.

are you saying the fortin stuff sounds bad?
@Protonaut5 жыл бұрын
@@wheresallthezombies absolutely not :D they're on top of their game of you ask me. Was just wondering if they managed to top their former success with this one.

@@Protonaut oh gotcha. the fortin stuff is awesome but this thing seems awesome. lol. im downloading the demo right now just to see what it sounds like compared to the fortin stuff.
@ArnoldPlaysGuitar5 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say a step up. I would say it’s just another tool in the same toolbox. It fits a particular need, particular style seriously well. Just like the other two did.

Was the demo sounds from a camera mic? I didn’t hear any stereo sounds but definitely heard the guitar being picked up from the mic. Anyway good demo.
@ArnoldPlaysGuitar5 жыл бұрын
TheWaterbound07 the demo song was multi tracked as i did the video recordings, but the main body if the video was done in mono down the middle. I just thought that might be a better representation of what one, solitary track would sound like. But no, it was in pro tools.

Hey man, could you review the Jackson Js-11? It's a starter guitar but it has INSANE value, decent tuners, pickups, graphite reinforced neck, great paint job and no fret edges (without binding) for $149.

Why shoes your Kemper inputsignal while you are playing??? I thing you have use the Kemper :):):):):)
@ArnoldPlaysGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Nuno Bernardes in this case, it is a $2000 tuner. I have my Kemper routed to Mic 1 of my focusrite, and a clean DI from a passive DI box (that sits in front of the Kemper) is routed into mic 4 which is what i use for using ampsim plugins. All tracks are mic 4.
@jonborrmann31245 жыл бұрын
@@ArnoldPlaysGuitar follow up question Arnold. Why use a DI box instead of the focusrite as a DI..??
@ArnoldPlaysGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Jon Borrmann to split the input signal. It’s in front so that i get essentially the same signal going through the Kemper and also into the DI at the same time. That way i could reamp if i felt the need.
@NO-TALK-GuitarPlugin5 жыл бұрын
How could you compare with Kemper equivalent?
@ArnoldPlaysGuitar5 жыл бұрын
$135 for an ampsim plugin vs. $2000-ish for an amp modeller. I mean, that’s like comparing a bicycle to a sedan when all you are getting either just to take you to work 3 miles down the road.

So I see ya get the Godfather on your desk, meaning the Kemper, why would you need this software? More hits I guess. With all the video's you produce, when do you find time to play out live? Just askin
@ArnoldPlaysGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't play live. Because bandmates and I do not get along. Ask anyone I have ever been in a band with and I am reasonably sure they will tell you they like me a lot better now that I am not being a cunt at the rehearsal space. As for why I have the Kemper AND the software...I just love variety and I am never satisfied. I am always looking for the perfect guitar, amp, ampsim, whatever.
