A Rocha is an international organization that engages in scientific research, environmental education, and community-based conservation and sustainable agriculture projects. Vote everyday until November 30, 2015 and A Rocha could win $10,000 through BC Hydro's Community Champions Award!
Since 1983, A Rocha has grown from one project in Portugal to a family of national organizations with local projects in 20 countries around the world, making it the largest international Christian conservation organization doing on-the-ground work.
A Rocha Canada, a registered CRA charity with supporters nationwide, has been active since 2000. A Rocha’s first Canadian environmental centre in the Little Campbell River Watershed (Surrey, BC) was launched in 2003, with additional projects added in Winnipeg, southern Manitoba, and Hamilton, Ontario.
