Good video. Important to note that molecule e contains an aromatic resonance contributor. Rotational barrier around that terminal pi bond is relatively low as a consequence.

Aren't the Nitrogens on compound D sp3 hybridized, so that would make it not planar anymore?

It has three groups attached to it, which is two carbons and a hydrogen. The lone pair is delocalized so it does not count toward hybridization.
