Do you believe in gravity??? You cannot "see" it, but you feel it's effects, right??? Defy it and you will die. Now, you do understand we Catholics believe in a very "visible" GOD (Colossians 1:15-21) who walked among us, and whom impacted history so much that we determine time based off of His life (BC/AD), right??? Ultimately, what if someone could predict family lineage, how, when, where and the circumstances around your birth BEFORE your birth??? Would that be a mere "accident" to you or something "divine"??? Welcome to the logic, FACTS and TRUTH about Jesus Christ. How about 355 prophecies fulfilled??? www.accordingtothescriptures.org/prophecy/353prophecies.html The "odds" of a "man" fulfilling all these prophecies and resurrecting from the dead are about the same mathematical odds of this "cause and effect" universe happening by "accident". What are the mathematical odds of just fulfilling "8" prophecies let alone 355??? kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJLClnWZgtiMopo

@CC C , Which "belief" is more rational and logical??? Two people (one Christian the other Atheist) are walking through an apple orchard coming upon 377 apples "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart on the ground. The atheist, given their belief in spontaneous "accidents", concludes "nice accident" and continues walking. Obviously, not thinking anything more about it - as that is how he/she is brainwashed by their "secular" public education to believe. On the other hand, the Christian sees the exact same 377 apples "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart, and concludes "WHO IN THE WORLD DID THAT?" Which has a more rational and logical conclusion??? Basic logic dictates behind "order" there has to be an "orderer". Behind every "building" you see is a "builder" you cannot see. Behind something that is "moving" there is a "mover" - that "caused it" to move. Behind an intelligent "design" is a intelligent "designer". Now, let’s raise the spontaneous "accident" odds to absolute absurdity. For me to write this post I have 3 Billion DNA "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart and for you to read this post right now you have 3 Billion DNA "perfectly" in a row and "evenly" spaced apart, so over 6 Billion DNA "ordered" and working !!! Now, is that just a random "chance" and spontaneous "accident" to have 6 Billion DNA in a "row" to carry on this conversation??? www.genome.gov/25520880/deoxyribonucleic-acid-dna-fact-sheet/ evolutionnews.org/2018/04/yes-intelligent-design-is-detectable-by-science/ Even famous atheist Richard Dawkins has admitted DNA can "prove" intelligent design kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqOpi4eDfrCCn5Y www.allaboutscience.org/intelligent-design.htm Sorry, Evolution is a lie. The false theory should be DEAD/EXTINCT by "real" scientists: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqimqZ54o9Jmpdk Evolution is spread from a Masonic lie: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGfGYWaFaaaDgJY What are the "odds" of even one protein forming "accidentally" completely forgetting about even more complex "LIFE"??? kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWLCfHiMlqisl6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3OoqJqaeK2IjdE Now is athiestic evolution or spontaneous "accidents" really a logical and rational conclusion??? Please get to KNOW the supreme "orderer" of this universe, and what He expects out of your life to find "TRUE LIFE". Now, I recommend you watch former atheist Lee Strobel's "Case for the Creator". kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5vUeWevbaxjg6s Then listen or read Josh McDowell's "Evidence Demands a Verdict". kzbin.info/www/bejne/foPInoqDft5lf7s Please follow the "evidence", facts, real science and "TRUTH" right into the ONE and ONLY established Church of Jesus Christ being the ONE HOLY CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. @Tim Webb Oh, do you mean the treasure ships under admiral Zheng He? The largest of them is stated to be about 660 feet long which comes from a rudder post that was supposedly dug up at the Nanjing shipyard you cited. But, as the OP stated, most experts agree that ships would not seaworthy and the largest of the treasure ships couldn’t have had a maximum size of more than 110-124 m (390-408 feet) long and 49-51 m (160-166 feet) wide while most put them at a much more modest 61-76 m (200-250 feet) in length. Not to mention the earliest writings of these particular ships, the Taizong Shilu, where most of the claims you cite come from are considered by most historians like American historian Edward L. Dreyer to be untrustworthy due to many exaggerations and invocations of fantasy elements in their construction.
@homingninja20375 жыл бұрын
@Tim Webb According to bible history, Greeks came after Noahs flood. Also, realize that the construction of Greek Triremes was expensive, and required trained engineers and carpenters with over 6000 days worth of man-labor. And Noah, with only him and his family, managed to construct a seaworthy vessel reportedly larger then the Triremes in less time? I guess God must have given them an extensive course in engineering and construction that would make them more efficient than the likes of British Royal Navy shipbuilders before WW1. Dream on.

@Tim Webb Who else would Noah enlist to help his cause when everyone else was calling him stupid for thinking there was a flood? Can you cite in the scriptures where it says it took 100 years to build the Ark? Now it seems that Noah and his crew were straight up incompetent instead of efficient. And tell me how all the animals hadn't died off by then, and how they would have kept them alive until the moment he needed them to get on the Ark?

The founding fathers of America wanted to get away from religious prejudice and discrimination, so they saw America as an opportunity to found a new nation that would be secular and free. Unfortunately, they made a fatal mistake: They just didnt go far enough, its the same planet after all. So try again, but this time go big. Find a habitable planet in another solar system. It will probably take a few thousands of years. Oh wait, the religiotards may have killed us all by then.

Tim Webb... The idea that all animals were vegetarian at some point is literally impossible. *The cells of plants are much sturdier than meat cells *This is why herbivores have flat crushing teeth to pulp and breakdown the plant cells to aid in digestion. in some cases a herbivore actually has two stomachs to help with this process. * The digestive tract of a herbivore is far longer than that of a carnivore as it needs more time to extract the nutrients. *Even with all these adaptions a herbivore still needs to eat tons of foliage a day just to keep from starving. * A carnivore has sharp ripping teeth - good for tearing out chunks of meat but woefully inadequate in crushing plant matter. *The digestive tract in carnivores is shorter as meat cells are readily broken down and nutrients can be extracted faster *If an animal which is built as a carnivore tried to subsist on only plant matter, it body would not be able to extract nutrients from the plant matter. *This means that even if a carnivore ate literal tons of plant matter every single hour of the day - it would still starve to death *Please get an education.......

Tim Webb says... "The Bible assumes that its readers have a minimum level of intelligence." - It does no such thing. As long as you can read and swallow it's pablum, you're good. "Thus, as we know that there are sea-dwelling creatures fossilized on top of Mt Everest, then it is reasonable to assume that Mt Everest was below sea level before the Flood." - This is the only thing you are half right on. Yes, Everest was under water once. But it had nothing to do with a flood. It was once part of the bottom of a ancient sea floor. "As with most of the atheist's Biblical knowledge, a great deal is more is to be desired." - Along with a Creationist's knowledge on science...

Aron said there "You are saying that Mout Arat was a volcano and it emerged out of the sea and you are going to land a boat on it!? (It would still be spewing lava so no wooden boat is the point) You can see what is going on in Hawaii right now...with that active volcano. As soon as the boat lands the 1800 animals are let off onto a desolate hot rock. Not the 40 stuffed animals that is on this Fake Arc. (1800 is even too small a number) Insects are in the thousands alone. Bird species into the thousands as not all birds fly long distances. Many ground birds such as turkeys, chickens, quail, grouse,quail, do not fly for long nor do they float...like ducks and geese and swans and flamingoes or loons(that makes 10 with names) just in N.A.west coast.There is at least 4 different species of grouse, half a dozen different swans, and maybe 2 dozen different ducks and a dozen geese. They don't cross breed. So I have 46 individual species and to have 2 of each means 92 WITHOUT REASEARCHING THEM. That is what I know just sitting here.

7 Coral Reefs that are a few thousand years old and existed while the flood was taking place (they would die with such sudden change in conditions), 8 People inside the Ark would die of the excessive heat and methane in the Ark, 9 Conditions on earth would change radically since the Flood, changes that we would still see today, not just geology but also atmospheric & meteorological conditions, 10 Animals would have to stay alive long enough to survive the trip, and some animals' (primarily insects etc) simply dont have such a long lifespan, 11 plenty of animals cant live in such a climate, 12 all the animals would have to get to the same place, and that would involve certain species to basically travel for thousands of miles to get there, in some cases going across oceans. And lots more other reasons, but the list is already too long.

@Tim Webb Yes I can explain for you as I am a Pomologist, that is a scientist who is responsible for ensuring the healthy growth and breeding of fruits and nuts, as well as the trees and bushes on which they grow. Spoiler it wasn't Allah or Thor or whatever God you worship? You can thank the Chinese and Arabs. All the varieties of banana grown today are cuttings - human farmed 'clones' if you will, in effect - of naturally tasteless inedible wild bananas discovered by early farmers about 10,000 years ago in the Philippines . A rare mutation caused by disease when Arab & Chinese Sailors introduce foreign fruits and seeds such as figs and dates to the Philippines normally through faecal matter (their shit) causing the wild tasteless bananas to grow sterile & without seeds. Modern Bananas are seedless because the original parent banana tree is triploid (3X chromosome sets)... Parthenocarpy, fruit development without pollen fertilisation and seed set, can result in seedless fruits such as grapes, squash (Cucurbita pepo ), and eggplants (Solanum melongena ) these seedless fruits are tastier as they retain more Fructose that would've normally been used to grown infant seeds in the now seedless fruit. I am sure there is a chapter in your Qu'ran about this?

Remember, when those stories were passed around originally, the believed the earth was flat. It just poured off the edge, that's all. The most ridiculous part of the Flood story is the story itself. God, the almighty cosmic creator of everything, for some reason couldn't just snap his mighty fingers and fix the problem directly. So he came up with this ridiculous Rube Goldberg scheme in which a 600 (or 900, depending on who you talk to) year old man builds a big arse boat and somehow God gets all the animals together (even across oceans an other natural barriers) to get on this boat, which is not only structurally impossible (a ship that size cannot be made of wood; it'd twist itself to toothpicks the first time it achieved buoyancy), but had to be somehow provisioned FOR A YEAR with not only food but fresh water to ride out this massive flood, then God had to reverse everything to put the now-ridiculously inbred animals back where they belonged and somehow sustain them even though there was nothing else alive.

@@EvanKashvi One of Jordan Peterson's 12 rules for life is to "Assume you can learn something from the person that you are talking to" To call someone a "Yappy dog" is not going to help you with anything in your life. The way that you are talking shows me that you are closed-minded on the matter. Perhaps this rule would also help Aron Ra.
@EvanKashvi4 жыл бұрын
@@nathanhunt6208 Aron has been doing this for a long time. He has dealt with these grifters for a long time. The thing is, they have heard what he has to say and they do not listen. When you know someone has heard the things you have to say but is determined to just not listen to them and pretend they didn't hear them anyway, and that person has done so repeatedly for years on end, you learn that they are not your target audience. They actually know what you are saying, and it will never matter to them. Evidence, logic, science, facts, etc will never matter to them. They have actually proven that over the many decades of "debates" and "conversations" where they have been told that they misrepresent things, that they are actually provably incorrect, but they continue with the same talking points over and over ad nauseum. When you know that a person is like that, do you continue to say the same thing to them on repeat, or do you speak to people who are actually potentially interested and open to what you have to say? I think the former is a waste of time and intellect, because intellect will not change the mind of a dishonest actor. Peterson is likely assuming that the person you would be talking to is at least willing to be honest in their intentions and change their tactics or points when confronted with evidence that they are verifiably wrong. When a person is not, they are just a barker. A yappy dog as I put it. If you think I called him that because my mind is closed, you just haven't seen enough from these people to realize how absolutely disingenuous they are.

Old comment I know but .. do I believe in Noah's flood? No, there's too many pre-existing versions of it. Most fictional legends find their origins in some actual event/experience but they greatly exaggerate it later.

@@TheLizardOfOz Alright, sure. I'm just saying that, what I could find from following others discussions with these people among with my own and with what they all like to claim on their FE channels, the majority of old earthers(if not all of them) are globers while anywhere from 50-70% of Young earthers hold flat earth as biblical, though I should mention I also heard that none of them nor their churches actually talk about it "In" Church while talking alot about it outside of official sermons. It’s a little weird but I think it's because the churche organizations themselves don't officialy claim the earth is Flat, is why most members that believe keep quiet about that one detail when they represent their church but once out of the public eye and on the Internet, then they start preachy flat earth.
