I went from London to south Spain on a YBR125 (and back to London again) and it was so so crazy that I would've been crazy not to do a bike trip like that, because it was one of the best experiences of my life. To all 125cc riders... you set your limits. Our great little runners have no limits if you treat them with care. They can just eat up hundreds of miles.

Now that's some proper touring! 600 miles a day is about my limit, and I wouldn't want to do that distance more than a couple of days in a row. Just watching this made my knees sore. The advice about pulling over for a nap is solid. I once pulled over on the Isle of Skye and took a 15 minute nap on a nice cushy bog. The sun even came out. It was glorious.

I now remember the overtaking planning and the slow grind of a long, slow hill where the power slowly ebbed away. Also the sore arse... and I also used to scoot up onto the pillion just for a break! Did a few journeys from midlands to cornwall and back with no problem. Now ride a RE Himi and continue to do the same though it's a little more competent

Having ridden over 50k on a Honda PCX, including a couple of 120 mile rides and 150 there and back, I know that 125s can knock out this mileage but it's very hard work, mile after mile with throttle pinned gets to the wrist. Fun on twisties though! Now got A2 auto licence (clutch control defeated me, never got the hang of it) & a bigger scoot is so much easier even for my 20 mile commute, and not much thirstier. Crashed my Gs a few years back and got a 125 loaner from the insurance was great fun. Miss The roads in Scotland. Away to watch the next one. Great stuff!

Absolutely loved this. I'm planning on doing this next year (no holiday left this year) I can't wait. BTW the fuel gage lies you have just under half a tank when the bar flashes. Also I've had no problem with the brakes on road...... offroad however, well, we won't go there 🙄
