Man I was waiting for your updates as reminders and i got confused on which week it was!🙈😂 So I was waiting to reread The cat of Bubastes by G. A. Henry. One of my favorites of his! But that’s fine I will just hurry and finish my Italy book (which is sadly hard to get through so far!😅), then I need to read the cat of bubastes & for Yemen I am reading The Monk of Mokha!❤ I am currently completely immersed in the world of War and Peace, which is making it a trifle hard to start anything new!😅🤭 I loved watching the video Anne!❤

Gosh, so much reading, so little time! And War and Peace definitely gives you a book hangover after finishing it, lol. Thank you!

@@AnneEWilliamson Exactly!😅 I am making steady progress though, halfway through War and peace!😍 It is so good! It helps that two of the books on that list are audiobooks. Though I always feel like they don’t quite count in my books. 🤭 I prefer books but I am really trying to not buy extra books so audiobooks it is. And I must say BBC does an excellent job! I absolutely love their productions!😍

Your haircut looks great! Egypt's Golden Couple sounds interesting! I Just rewatched The Mummy recently! It's so good!

Thank you! Actually, Colleen Darnell (one of the authors of Egypt's Golden Couple) did a video on KZbin where she broke down how historically accurate The Mummy was. It was great!

I have been wanting to read The Betrothed! I stayed away from the spoiler section of your video but am very intrigued by your thoughts so far! I think I might make a summer project of reading it.

It's such a great book! Though a bit challenging to read. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it if you read it!

Great to hear about your Italy and Egypt reads. My historical romance book set in Italy went horribly wrong and I ended up DNFing it, so back to square one for me on that country! 😂 I’m currently reading one set in Japan and looking forward to starting my Yemen book soon! 😊📚

That's too bad. I suppose not every book will be a winner, but I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the books set in Japan and Yemen!

Just finding your channel via my endless quest to find more Booktubers to watch. (As if I don't already have enough. I am starting to think I need professional help.) I love the idea of reading around the world! I'm broke and can never afford to travel, so the idea appeals to me.

Ha, thank you! And I know how you feel. I watch too many Booktube channels and there's never enough time! And I think that's what appeals to me about books set around the world too. I feel like I can travel without spending so much money.

I think I would actually really like The Betrothed for the Catholic lens. Haha Though not Catholic myself, it would be a more "accurate" portrayal from a personal experience of that time. And Catholic or not, Catholicism during this time in history is incredibly fascinating and integral in the development of the modern Western world.

I think you would enjoy The Betrothed! Even if just for an examination of how plagues effect society or the depth of the characters. It's such an interesting book!

At least Akhenaten could see his god, well not at night obviously. A good review, thank you.
