Probably a near impossuible looking challenge to face every morning to say the least, dealing with different cultures and languages, attitudes for and against the US and the west in general. Can't really jusdge if he is good at his job or not, or the quality of his leadership skills, but, he seems to keep things rolling along, all an average guy like me can do is hope he is doing it well.

I respected Mr Burns when he told the US and nato that further nato expansion to include Ukraine and Georgia would result in conflict. However that respect disappeared now that he is cia director and the US pressured Zelensky into refusing the Istanbul agreement that he until then was in support of, opting for war instead. Now Ukraine has in excess of a million casualties and Ukraine will never be the same

I can understand Ukraine and Georgia wanting to join the west, BUT SO DOES RUSSIA!!! President Putin asked President Clinton if Russia could join NATO. But was told NO? We need to know WHY? To me President Putin has been the only one talking any sense since 9/11. Why are we STILL messing with the Russians? BRICS? NEOCONS? Do we Americans actually need an enemy? Russia doesn’t share our values now, but back when it was the Soviet Union it *really* didn’t share our values. In 1956 the Red Army sent tanks into Budapest. That didn’t require a response from the West like we’ve seen in recent years. Same with what happened in Prague in 1968: somehow that wasn’t proof that if nothing was done, there would soon be Russian soldiers in Paris. Or how about when Russia used it’s Polish puppets to put down Soladarność in Poland in 1989? Why wasn’t that an existential threat to Amsterdam and London? This dogma that what happens in Ukraine matters to the West, and is worth hundreds of billions of our Dollars, is ridiculous. And historically ignorant.

This is very cool to me, lots of ppl are prone to accusing, misconstruing and or blaming the agency for many things. IDK I am not in the know however I know one thing for sure there are alot of ppl who do some very cool work there more importantly they keep America safe abroad and that work has got to be massive! that is no easy task to go abroad and identify threats to our peace, serenity and way of life ~ I am a fan, always have been of CIA - I Endured an absolute nightmare of a time whilst residing in NYC when during the 911 attacks occurred and subsequent years following that well all I know is men & women who work there are passionate about your freedom, mines and way of life here and they work hard to keep us safe we live in a world where I think even the good guys get a bad rep???
