Yes for other items but they haven't gone for Tejas. Tejas is inducted in two squadrens of IAF and 180 plus are on order. Hence Navy, Army, IAF all r using indigenous items in case they r available best as per their criterion. It's totally depending upon their requirements.

That era will be awesome when India will have its own indegenously developed SSNs and conventional submarines with AIP. Right now, if I am not wrong then Indian navy stands on fifth spot in terms of firepower. Hope by decade end or by mid of next decade , it will achieve third spot.

Jai Hind...Sir i think both MDL as well as L&T must be funded for midget submarine prototyping...also both must be provided funds for designing a full scale conventional submarine, if needed some funds should also allocated if some sub-system or technologies merit such funding ...thereafter the best design or a combination must be selected for full scale prototyping

This will be huge if we will be able to make our own conventional submarine, The flexibility it will bring for testing-incorporating new technologies, continuous modifications-improvements, installation of modern systems will be game changer just like our own indigenous platform like Tejas, Arjun, akash, prachand, etc. This will be an achievement equivalent to building our own Aircraft carrier for Bharatiya Navy. aisi news sunkar gudgudi si hoti hai aur lalach bhi badh jaata hai.😅

Bro in midget "d" is silent. Rest why Indian navy not working of nuclear powered ballistic subs as we already have tech of nuclear reactors, why wasting time on AIP+DE which stand no where near capabilities of aforementioned subs.. it's good we make aircraft carrier but our Navy is not blue water Navy who invades. Without nuke ballistic subs our nuclear triad I'd incomplete.. nor we have dedicated bombers, all we have jaguars for small nukes and 36 Raphaels which we cant afford for deep strike nuke mission.
