No matter with whose collab we develop AMCA engines, we should never abandon development of Kaveri engines as this learning curve will have far reaching impact.
@rickgolder68186 ай бұрын
We lost around a decade in abandoning the kaveri. Bro just think if we have never abandoned the kaveri project and would have keep developing it, then by now we would already have an engine for the tejas mk1a and in the next 10 years, we could had engine for tejas mk2. Yes we would still need to develop AMCA engine with others cause it would have been too difficult for us. BUT by 2034 we could potentially had tejas mk1a and tejas mk2 engines. How fucking cool would that be. But sadly none of ut happened.

They were deprived of all the must required testing labs. What funds were they provided for creating a sophisticated Jet Engine in comparison with the countries owner of modern engines like Safran Of France or General Dynamics Of USA or Rolls Royce of UK. Can you remember the saga of Cryogenics engine scientist of ISRO who was nearing to present the country our own cryogenics rocket engine. The fate of Dr. Homi J Bhaba in the 60's. Why with South Korea! They are our potential competitor in fighter market. We can't expect them so stupid to give way to giant country like India to inflict damage to their business. Our problem is when we start learning of walking, we started to compete with the sprinters. We just started mastering the modern technique of building good Fighter aircrafts & run a few steps successfully in Jet engine technology(Kaveri Dry version). For all our new & old fighter jets & transporters, we depend fully on foreign supplied engines. Then why we are provoking them in the international market by putting our only fighter Tejas to compete them( USA, UK, France & Russia). We must increase our depleting Squadrons first & silently. Be successful with our own high thrust engines. Yes we must concentrate 200% to develop Aero engine & Naval Gas turbine engines first. Fulfil complete requirement of our forces, then think of any export of planes. USA have already showed us red flag by creating supply restriction of much needed F-404 engines to 20 Nos. only in a year where we need 24 +. We can export Pinaka MBRL, ATAGS , Dhanush, Tanks, ICV's, Bullet proof vehicles of TATA, Mahindra, Kalyani & any others. It is better to be in a safe zone when we are building our strength.
