Can you arpeggiator up and down both directions? If so how I accidentally stumbled upon it. Utilizing the edit button. Push the edit button, then push the arpeggiator button and the settings for the arpeggiator appear including type up down double up Double Down Etc!

I believe you can set up to 4 presets with different programming on the MPK MINI Editor software and you can switch back and forth between them with the program button and the corresponding piano key (PROG 1, PROG 2, etc)

quick question. i am a keyboardist but i am really curious about arpeggiators. examples of songs that has arp going on are: corey heart-never surrender dirty vegas-little mhite doves. lets take little white doves. is the arp on that song doable on that controller?

I may be wrong, but it sounds like they used chords and this controller can only handle one note at the same time. They instead probably used a synthesizer preset that had an arp built in. You can also get a lot more fine grain control with a software arp instead of trying to use the controller. Hardware arp is probably most useful if you're working with a hardware synth.

oh. too bad. my synth (korg kross 61) also has an arpeggiator but like what you have, i think it couldnt handle arps done with 3 notes or so too.

oh, another thing before i forget. can that controller play samplers? i have samplers for uptown funk. lol. i see some cool keyboards that can load samplers and play them on the keys.

I don't think so. It only does MIDI and does not output sound. You might be able to do something software side but as a standalone unit, no.

You'll want to set up a 'Send master sync' with the MPK. Can this be hooked up using midi to a synth? I looking to buy a Yamaha dx7 but it doesn't have an arpeggiator function built in.

Not directly as far as I know. It just has a USB connection. I believe you'd have to connect both to a computer and have the input of the APK sent to the input of the Yamaha via software or DAW.

Why when I hit the pad, I hear sound about quater of second later, not the exact same moment. So it's very hard to make a beat because of that delay. Is there something I could do?

I haven't had delay problems so it's probably either the computer or the software that you're using. Try downloading a different audio workstation from what you use now.

There apps- better ones on iOS than on Android. You'll probably want to look for a sequencer instead- I was making a makeshift sequencer out of an arp haha.

Yes, the red version is newer. Primary difference is that the red has a joystick for pitch and modulation. The button setup is a bit different too.
