I stuck the most at mixing. Arranging is okay since I start most of my tracks with the drop and the breakdown

You get stuck at this part? This the fun part, the actual mixing is where shit gets hard
@benearle2714 жыл бұрын
@@joyusachoobarb Yeah, the mixdown can be hell. Arrangement is fun as you have the core loop down and you don't have to worry about the mix too much. It's a nice sweet spot to be in where you can just play, and for someone link me who is mostly in the box, you get to tweak some knobs!

Man, after watching two of your dub techno pattern vids, skimming and skipping some parts to get a quick grasp and watch this vid later at some point, I have to say, you're making this dub techno stuff pretty look way easier than I thought, coupled with a couple other channels I've been following. Zero music theory, barely any mixing, yet I'm making dub techno, slowly, like it's nothing. Definitely gonna be kicking that sub button

Brilliant tutorials Yan, Ive been using Acid pro for years and have just switched over to ableton recently, out of the many tutorials that ive watched yours have stood out the most, You have made what seems like a lot of hard tasks become so much easier with your quality production skills shining through in your videos. Your workflow alone is superb to me but this current video has given me the tools to move forward. Thanks man. Yours in Techno Flynn.

Thank you for these incredible tutorials! I started mixing and focusing on techno properly after a few visits to Berlin, and wanting that music back home in NZ, where it's rare to have darker hypnotic techno. Great video Yan! Hopefully it will prove to those that struggle with structure that it is not rocket science! I see so many people get stuck on arrangement (I used to be one of them), but you show very clearly how it's actually quite simple. In fact, I use to use your tracks as my reference tracks and it helped me realise this for myself and help my track structure a lot!
