@@krane15 it's called affirmative action. The reason NO ONE should be in favor of AA is because when people look at her, they will never believe she's qualified in which this case, she's not, but that she's only filling a needed quota. @@jonburrows2684 Yes, I know. Before AA there were virtually no female cops and certainly none of rank in any police force. That said, despite her unlawful rant and staunch support of a city policy that violated the U.S. civil rights laws, she never sicced the cops on the auditor, nor did she ever threaten to arrest him. She also never demonstrated any provocative posture, kept a distance, was always balanced in tone and demeanor, and avoided an illegal arrest. The cops came to my home with about 10 officers and as I casually walked outside to see what the commotion was 3 cops pointed their guns in my face. They said they got a call that I was armed and dangerous. I was not armed and was completely calm and passive. The cops then entered my home without a warrant and seized my property which included a 12 gauge shotgun. They then lied entirely about the incident in their report using quadruple hearsay and not including the names of the officers that entered my home. They also said I gave them my property also not true. They omitted that they had 3 guns pointed at me. I was not arrested and I have no criminal history. They violated both my 2nd and 4th amendments. The cops had my mother murdered for later attempting to press charges against them. The supervising officer was Sargeant Oscar Rivera of the Wethersfield Police Department in CT.

I am a retired Court Officer for the Trial Court. That town code was written to gather revenue from "Commercial Entities" making movies and or commercials, and has nothing to do with members of the public taking pictures or video's on town owned property. It is too bad that the code was so poorly drafted as to be ambiguous and so easily misinterpreted. It is a ticking timebomb that may cost the taxpayers of that town millions some day down the line. Furthermore, the restriction of taking video's "within" the courtroom is at the discretion of the chief justice. However, taking video's "without" the courtroom into the courtroom is perfectly legal and it is the responsibility of the court to provide privacy in that instance by pulling down the shades thereby blocking the view from public areas. All State constitution laws and all city bylaws, codes, or restrictions that are in conflict with the Constitution of the United States are in effect "Null and Void" as they are deemed "Unconstitutional." The real point I would like to make is that from the response that most all of the auditors that I view are experiencing, almost every government agency is "Top Heavy" and in need of massive layoffs. When you have more than one or two people responding to a guy with a camera, it's time for layoffs. And that is the real reason why they do not want you taking videos.

And a town that actually enacted that as an ordinance⁉️ They are absolute CLOWNS to have done that and even gone the extra step of PRINTING it!! When you’re that blatantly stupid and unlawful, you don’t put it down on paper. The sergeant and the entire council NEED to be let go. Imagine being a resident here? I sure hope those people went to battle over this POS wording. Imagine being told you can’t film your children playing at the park⁉️ Wow. Lady, you need a different career, this one is NOT for you! You WILL be the reason someone gets hurt, shot or even killed one day. I'm a high school Film/TV production and photography teacher here in Southern California. I have a unit lesson called, "Know Your Rights" where we cover our rights to film/photograph in public and areas that are government owned. I've taught for 10 years at the high school level but I've been teaching this lesson for five years. I did this after my rights were violated before a Lakers game at Staples Center (now Crypto Arena) by their "Red Coats" staff. Yes. A STAFF member. I don't want my students to experience that OR if they do, then they should know their rights. I've seen many videos over the years in researching and teaching this lesson and YOU Sean, ARE THE BEST I've seen protecting our rights AND changing ridiculous city codes. THANK YOU LONG ISLAND AUDIT from PASADENA, CA! 🙏

I’ve read the entire code. The code isn’t unconstitutional, the people who don’t understand it and misapply it are. Under definitions at the vary beginning it defines filming as “The taking of still or motion pictures, either on film or videotape or similar recording medium, for commercial or educational purposes…” Journalism is not considered commercial. Any semi-intelligent person who reads the code will understand that it’s meant for production filming, not personal or news video recording.
@Rebelscreed Жыл бұрын
@Mike H So you just entirely missed the "or education" part of that there? It's kinda funny, actually.. As you say that "any semi intelligent person knows -" but then say that code is not meant for personal OR news videos.. Would news videos not be considered commercial production? What about educational..? Not trying to be rude at all, honestly, but you really might wanna go read that code again before you go commenting saying "I've read the whole thing, the real wrong people are the ones not understanding it", while also misunderstanding it, ya know? Just kind of a shitty look.. Lol
@MikesDIY Жыл бұрын
@@Rebelscreed I didn’t miss “or education” or misunderstand it. I quoted that part in my comment. I just didn’t mention it in my commentary because I thought it was even more obvious that he wasn’t there to create an educational video. What lesson is being taught? What part of the code are you saying I’m misunderstanding? You can learn from commercial movies, TV programs, and the news, but that doesn’t make them educational. An educational program would be intended to teach a lesson. The part that separates journalism/news from commercial or educational videos is that news is disseminating current information. The news also will not have any hired actors. The reason “or educational videos” has to be in the law is to prevent someone from shooting re-enactments meant to be used in a classroom type setting instead of being sold as a movie or TV show. There are all kinds of ways to confuse the lines between commercial, educational, and news. As I said before though, any SEMI-INTELLIGENT person that reads the code will understand that it doesn’t apply here.
