There is something so nostalgic about this movie, it just warps you back to when you were a kid and you believed in magic and all the possibilities there were in the world. When things were simpler and easy. Love this movie and all of Studio Ghibli's movies.

Many people do not know that the composers of the original soundtrack are French, especially the main composer who is from Little Brittany, hence the Celtic sonalities. This is probably why we have French in the end of this instrumental, it's her voice in this case. Btw, I'm proud to find my culture in a emblematic studio and my childhood movies. Edit : since many are surprised about the origins of the celtic soundtrack, all of this was made by Cécile Corbel and her band, she's also the girl who sing the english, japanese and french versions of musics in the movie. 🥰 for having seen her in concert, her speaking voice is trully sweet. ( btw excuse my english if it's not correct. )

***** it's not the point. of the film. It's that Sho found inside him the will to fight through Arrietty's perseverance and hardship. Sometimes that is all you have. Wether or not he dies is not important to the film.

Everyone here. I usually never comment. But I need to tell you that this song deeply touched me. I know you all loved the movie, and if you are ready for a more intense and very sad movie. I highly recommend watching Grave of the fireflies. I am a grown man and I have to say it made me cry. It made me treat my family and what I have with more passion. Please watch it as not alot of people havent seen it (it didnt become popular since it was made when Ghibli was unpopular). btw, i am a hardcore Studio Ghibli fan. So if you're not ready for an intense movie dont watch it. It will keep you thinking for about a week nonstop.

Grave Of Fireflies is the saddest movie I have ever seen...and I love it for that. Not that I would watch it multiple times as I do with other Ghibli movies....but it sincerely impacted me in ways that were lasting and memorable..... I think everyone needs to see that one!
