To me, this is simply one of the most beautiful songs to have ever existed.
There are few songs in this world that affect me as deeply as this one... maybe it's the gorgeous innocence of the lyrics, or its vaguely melancholic nostalgic feel...
I don't know. I just had to sing it though. Wow...

I clicked on this not expecting it to be a cover (because I skimmed the title and I’m on a mobile phone so it was cut off towards the end), and honestly, once I realized it was a cover, I expected...less. Like, I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as the original. But it is. Just in a completely different way. The original song is grand, and powerful, and sweeping, with all the different instruments working together to complement the vocals and sort of paint a picture in our minds just how amazing that garden from the past is. This is different. It’s a lot quieter, a lot sweeter, and more wistful and nostalgic. I think it’s because it’s just narrowed down to the power of the piano and your own vocals, which are different from Corbel’s. Your voice is hauntingly emotional, and it makes the song feel a lot more sentimental, as if everything you’re singing about feels a lot more precious and meaningful to you personally, and honestly? It actually makes the song more moving than the original. I clicked on this and didn’t expect to like this as much as the original, but I end up liking it more. Way more. You’ve done really good work with this cover and I apologize for underestimating you. I hope wherever you are, you’re still making good music. Because the world needs more of it, and people like you who make it.
