Hey Jem, yeah I'm getting better with the names you'll see in the next vid dropping today :) Agree 100% that travellers often see more of a country than the locals, that's just the way it is sometimes. But Madagascar is soo diverse there is a good reason to travel more domestically and connect with others areas.

Can you tell me the name of the hotel that you stayed at in the capital. I could not find it on Mora's website, but I really like the choice of earthy colours whilst you enjoy your morning coffee. Reminds me of Spanish/Portuguese colonial architecture. Have fun out there!

looking at some of that food out in the open air, I was wondering how you cope with eating in the stranger places you visit without getting ill? do you have to be particular about what and where you eat? or have you developed a really strong constitution with all your travelling?

Good question!! I like to think I’ve developed an iron stomach, but really it’s just being cautious and attentive when eating. Go on your ‘gut’ feeling before hand, and read other travelers reviews for destination restaurants, that tends to help a lot.

It s relatively safe compared to south america or south africa. You just need to have common sense like not going alone in dark remote place and be aware of pickpocket in tight overcrowed place.
