Stephen Hawking. Told he was going to depart at the age of 23, and lived to be 76. Supposedly destined to die in two years, and not get to see the rest of his life. Yet, he completed his PhD, learned about the cosmos, and taught us how to live. He lived in a chair, paralyzed, and physically incapable of communicating. He was broken. But he did not stop; he did not let that keep him from his goals; his wants; his passions. This- brilliant- man, was a successor to the stars, and to the world. He did not care that he had motor neuron disease, he did not care that he might die, he did not care about how much time he had left. He cared about how precious it was; how incredible every singular moment in time is; how invaluable the seconds that lead up to each other are. This man, was supposed to die 53 years ago! And he lived those 53 years as if his next breath would be his last. Yes, Stephen Hawking's life may be gone, but his legacy lives on in our hearts. "However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at." -Stephen Hawking

Hello! How are you all? If anyone needs someone to listen, someone to talk to, or a friend. I am here to talk, listen, and be a friend. I hope you all are safe and well. Know that you are amazing and have rights as a human. I am very sorry for anything that seems bad that may have happened in your life. I want you to know that you are incredible and are capable of wonders. What matters is your inside, not your exterior. Love yourself and cherish yourself. Words cannot explain how astonishing you are. You deserve care, love, and happiness, don't let anything make you feel otherwise. Please have appropriate action for anything that you know is wrong. Anything that seems bad or wrong in your life right now will get better. Please don't do what is wrong, fighting back and harming others will not solve the problem. Please understand that and do the good thing. It will one day come back to you. The people in the world are so much more than what we know about them, not everyone opens up about the beautiful things and acts they have witnessed, not all those amazing doings are acknowledged. Please understand that and know that. If you feel like no one cares about you, know that I care about you. Keep your head up high and never give up. Together, we can be a better community. Stay safe, healthy, happy, kind, understanding, positive and strong!

I’ll admit I cried while listening to this. Steven Hawking was the one physicist who opened my eyes to the possibility of an endless universe. I did get to meet him on a field trip to the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago, and hearing him explain in person how our universe works is something I’ll never forget. He inspired a generation of curious stargazers and we’ll keep his memory alive no matter where in the universe we end up.

He was diagnosed with ALS ( a rare disease which causes the lower neuron cells in the cerebellum to work inproperly, or not at all) and the disease was violent in him. He was predicted to not live for more than 2 years, but he lived to the long age of 76. A true winner of evolution.
@elijahkornbau91446 жыл бұрын
Stephen Hawking lived far longer than any doctor expected to with ALS, an astonishing 55 years! His amazing personality and intelligence was hard earned for this man. His theories on black holes, extraterrestrial life, and astrophysics and theoretical physics in general rocked the science world and supercharged our thinking when it came to the universe. He helped us realize what an amazing place the universe we live in truly is. No wheelchair could stop this man from accomplishing great things that would help millions. He will be forever missed, leaving a hole in the world no greater man can fill... *Rest in peace Stephen Hawking*.

Stephen Hawking is an inspiring man for people all around the world, and me. His work has made Physicists minds blown from his discoveries and theories, to soon put tears in his eyes when he came to an end. He was a man who showed us that even when your life is not the greatest, or if things are bad for you, you can still do great things. Stephen has made a big difference, and led a big footstep for human kind. May he rest in true peace. *"I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road."*

i had a personal connection with stephen hawking not personally knowing each other but it felt like it he was my greatest teacher ever i read every single book he ever published and every article he ever wrote followed him on everything watched every single documentary and or movie he ever created watched all his videos and explanations looked into all his work and past i loved him for everything he had taught me and was more than ecstatic to see the next thing he would teach me and when i heard the news that he had died i was so much more than heartbroken i had cried many times knowing i would never learn anything from him and after reading and seeing everything about him i felt like i had lost a very close friend even if i had never spoken to him and i never was noticed by him but the effects he had on my life were much to great to ever forget and well in the end he did teach me one more lesson which was too value my life more than ever no matter what happens to me or what sickness or disease i ever get and i thank him for that.

*Stephen William Hawking* Stephen was an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre of Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge. His scientific work included a collaboration with Roger Penrose on gravitational singularity theorems in the framework of general relativity and the theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation, often called *Hawking Raidation.* It was said that Hawking lived such a fulfilling, long life other than the two years predicted due to his Motor Neuron Disease because of the love and support around him. Hawking is an inspiration to so many people, due to his determination, corage and resilience. There is no doubt that he was in pain as he lost the ability of his body functioning normally, and the bravery aquired for him, his family and friends is remarkable. Stephen inspired me to get into science and cosmology. Now, in the future I want ro be an author of cosmology to prove that this man was, and always will be, a true idol of mine. Now, its 2019. 3 months and 12 days until his death has been a year. I can't believe its been that long. *Where the is life, there is hope."* - Professor Stephen W Hawking, *1942 - 2018*

Hawking may have lost control of just about all his motor functions, but he never lost his inspiring optimism, his warm sense of humor, and his desire to see the best of humanity. He once stood on the shoulders of giants, but then he became a giant himself. He will always be remembered as a man who never let his crippling disability stop him from doing what he loved. And he will always be remembered alongside the rest of the brilliant minds who laid down the bricks that form the very core of physics.

When I found out that Professor Hawking passed, I'll admit I shed a few tears. We lost one of the greatest, if not the greatest mind in human history. His contributions to the world as we know it were astounding. Add in the fact that in 1963 he was only given a few years to live. He took that diagnosis and said "Nah fuck that noise" and live 55 more years battling a horrible disease. He put more into his life than any of us could even imagine in ours. Do not be sad that he passed, but he happy that he lived. RIP you amazing man, may your legacy be eternal. Wherever you may be.

Hawking is in heaven and wakes up. "I can move?" He then grabs his wheelchair and throws it down the clouds. :) Hope you live a good one up there Hawking. We will miss you.

We lost someone who changed history. Who taught the world so many amazing theories and facts about our universe. I’ve never wanted to study the same things Stephen hawking did, but I was fascinated by all he had to tell us nonetheless. I’m honestly so sad about his passing. Brb gotta go cry

He will always be remembered as a brilliant physicist, but not just that because he fought his illness and disability. He has used his true potential to the max as he has given us humans hope and dedication not just through his scientific remarks but through his hardship and his strong will to go on.

This song is so good I almost cried. Stephen Hawking was already a hero, but he did much more that make him a legend. "Heroes get remembered but legends never die" -Sandlot "Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change." -Stephen Hawking. May the man who did the impossible and survived a disease where the life expectancy was 2 years never die

Johann was a composer who created music for the sake of creating music, he was just in love with it. I can really feel that throughout the movie. Two absolutely brilliant men.

Steven hawking was a very lucky guy and as a result he has helped moved us forward in science as well as become a big inspiration for all. "Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious." - Stephen Hawking
