Remember when the Academy Awards used to be this magical, with the Oscar melodies (bring back Bill Conti's music especially the one for best picture) and without "the bullshit" like #oscarssowhite and the preferential voting for Best Picture? The Academy has lost their way just as much as America. I hope I'm still alive to see it get back the magic it once had.

This was infact my first academy awards as a 16 year old watching this on the BBC TV in the middle of the night back in 1994 in my home in London.. When i look back at this now.. I actually think Daniel Day Lewis should've won the best actor oscar for in the name of the father. And angela bassett should've won the best actress oscar for what's love gotta to do with it too... But of course the night belonged to schinder's list and spielberg.

Oh wow, have I love to remember the Oscars when they were fun, classy, and free of social and political agendas. Our family would treat it like the Super Bowl. We’d have a big family party with lots of food and our parents would let us stay up until the end. And then what 5-7 years ago it was completely taken over and ruined by all the woke, liberal, leftist, radicals. The had to make their social and political agendas the story line and completely ruined this once epic family event. My kids will never know the Oscars like my brother and sisters and me because we just don’t watch them because it’s that bad now. Just terrible.
