We went to Boroughbridge Camping And Caravanning Club Site for a couple of nights so we could visit The Great Holiday Show at the Harrogate Show ground. The site is a handy place to stop on the way north, being just off the A1(M) or handy for longer stays for day trips into Yorkshire.

Another example of how others have adopted your style Bob with a feature about the toilet facilities! I find your approach much more entertaining and engaging. Trying to persuade the better half that we could have a campervan for short breaks and overnights when we do dog shows and the caravan for our longer expeditions.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo That’s a possibility as I was looking at one that has 180bhp a 2.2ltr and the weight to tow our van. The MH is only 1mt longer than our Defender.

Well done bob and Jenny a lovely video and review of this campsite it looks a great place to stay we know boroughbridge from journeys to my brothers in saltburn it’s a good place to stop and nice to walk round Morrisons is good for fuel usually and has a good cafe!

When you pulled the shower curtain back I shouted "oi, watcha doin!" 😅 I stayed there last year on route to Northumberland and agree its a handy site for a stop over. The constant hum is from the dairy across the road if I remember.

Dear Bob & Jenny, My husband and I who have caravanned for fifty years often watch your videos. I am in awe of .you Jenny, your organisational skills are amazing, no stone is left unturned. Just wondered whether you were aware of the liber-t tag system, for when going through the tolls? You place the tag onto your windscreen, no longer do you have to scramble for change or worry about your card being unaccepted. The charges for the tolls are taken from yur bank account every month. There is a very small charge for using this service. I wish you a safe, happy and peasant holiday with Treor & Sue Kind regards, Vida

Is it for over 3500kg vehicles? We are only using tolls this trip in France, fortunately.

I did reply to you earlier Bob.....now lost it!!!! (Jenny would never do that!!😉) My husband checked the website of liber-t. Indeed it is for under 3500kgs, there is however, one for over 3500kgs. Owners of caravans may appreciate, learning about the tag for your windscreen, which takes away so much hassle. I wish you a wonderful holiday. Will be watching your videos!!! Vida

Yes, think that's what I found, over 3.5kg they assume you're HGV, and those are way too expensive.

We stayed there years ago in our old motorhome. I had it in the back of my mind as one not to go back to but can’t remember why (don’t think it was anything specific) as it looked all good from your video. Remember a small games room back then too. Interesting how they have it to protect from flooding the buildings with the flood bank. All the best, David & Rachel 👍

We stayed there last month as part of a Yorkshire tour, a awful lot of club sites are nowhere near the town's in the title ,as is this one ,stated 2 nights and moved on

Would you know where to find Roecliffe or Brown Moor? They are generally named after towns within 5 miles.

Yes they are all suitable for caravans. We are members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. 😊 I can't think of a campsite in the UK that is motorhome only!

Thank you for the reply. We would like to make some "base camps" in Scotland next year and go from there with the car to have a look around. My husband is disabled and has a mobility scooter. Scotland is a big country, really depends where you're visiting. For Glasgow and Edinburgh try Strathclyde Country Park, for the west coast, Bunree, east coast Ballater, Dumfries and Galloway try Moffat.

I’m sure when we arrived at the site there was a lady who was running to show us where to pitch up? We were not allowed to choose our own - hence a queue as each van etc arriving was then taken to one. I couldn’t understand the logic in this? A good site though and nice walk into Boroughbridge.

Yes we were shown to the pitch, I try not to show that as some site managers have objected to being filmed.

Do you know what the reason is for them showing you a pitch rather than like the M & CC? I understand there are more tents involved but they usually have their own field anyway?

@@BobEarnshawMoHo you are very diplomatic Bob - we went to the Sandringham C & CC site a couple of years ago and it was complete chaos, so many waiting to be shown to a pitch by a lady on a bike, meant that some were waiting an hour, no exaggeration to get booked in. My brother who was only visiting us - ended up parking on the main road, safely, then walking in due to the sheer volume of caravans etc. The sites are great but check in so much slower than the M & CC ones.
