enjoyed every moment of the road trip to get there. For those of us Ex-Pats who no longer want to make the long flight back, this is a real treat to see the towns, villages, shops and even the motorways and signage. The idea of being able to stop anywhere, brew up a cuppa, eat lunch and use the loo is a fabulous idea, no wonder you are hooked on a motorhome.

Yes, one of the best things about a motorhome, you have everything you need with you.

I wanted to pick up on your comment about using your own toilet. I'm surprised by the number of people who insist on not using their own facilities. I've stayed at several CAMC sites since the lifting of lockdown restrictions and it seems most people want to continue using the toilet blocks, some even complain that they have to sometimes wait outside until someone vacates. We all need to do our bit to help our campsites remain open. A massive thanks to all the wardens on our campsites who are working hard to keep us safe. Thanks for what you do, I always enjoy your videos.

Thanks I agree with you, those that can use their own facilities should and leave the toilet block for those who can't!

Great to see you have finally made it to Lincolnshire! Lots of beautiful places around here. Lincoln has a castle, which I’m sure you would love. National Trust, Belton House, at Grantham, has lovely gardens and a large deer park. The Wolds are beautiful. I hope you enjoy your few days here, and come back again to explore other parts of the county. :)

Hello Bob and Jenny. We are two adults and two teenagers and we use our own facilities in our caravan when we can / practicable. Since lockdown ended we have stayed on three sites, two with a served pitch and we used our own toilet and showers and most recently one standard pitch, where we used our own toilet and the campsite showers. I have to empty the toilet every day with 4 of us using it and I am willing to do this to keep my family safer. I now won’t use the shower in my caravan unless we are on a serviced pitch as I will also have to fill and empty the water and waste 5 times a day as well as the toilet. I am not on holiday to spend all my time waiting for water to warm up and filling up water butts every 30 minutes. I am on holiday to relax from a stressful job. After staying on a CMHC site last week, I now disagree with the CMHC stance on limiting people in the toilet block after queuing for the whole week. Every shower I went for, I had to queue with oap’s who shouldn’t / struggle to queue, children who are mixed up with strange men, people wanting a quick wee (short wait), men wanting the toilet (long wait) , men wanting shower shave toilet (very long wait) and everything in between. It was a large CMHC site and they only allowed three people in the one toilet block at any one time. Most people follow the rules and wait, but some won’t. The two non CMHC sites I have stayed at were fully open, no restrictions. If they can do it the CMHC should. Yes there is a global pandemic on, but we still all still need time to relax, support the economy and keep everyone safe. Limiting the toilets is causing more issues than it is curing. Just my 2p worth.
@BobEarnshawMoHo4 жыл бұрын
We are fortunate that there is just two of us, so we've chosen to keep out of the shower and toilet blocks, it is a pity that other people who don't need to be in there don't use their own facilities.
@bobajob15244 жыл бұрын
Bob Earnshaw this is where I struggle with my decisions. My family and I are fit and able and we have a modern caravan with full facilities . We could have used our own shower, on the CMHC site, but the holiday idea would have been lost as it would take us 2 hours to shower everyday and would take a huge physical effort by me to keep the water topped up and waste empty. I decided that was unacceptable and would ruin our holiday. Technically the only people who should have used the facilities on that site was the 6 tents, but most of us chose to do so for other reasons. Ahead of the CMHC upgrading all pitched to fully serviced, I now believe the CMHC should now provide free access to the toilet block and instigate more cleaning like most of the commercial sites have. If we have to pay extra for extra staff, that is the price of a holiday in a pandemic.

Bob, would it not of been easier to sling your hose under the motorhome instead of draping it all over the front seats?
