Guyana is a very nice place to live in, and I'm not saying it cause I'm a Guyanese but it's facts. a lot of things we do that other countries can't do. yeah we have crime and muddy water n stray animals but all countries have crime all countries is made up of its own natural beauty and as much as the waters r muddy we love this land n we accept all the tourist, we treat everyone with full respect n we help u c y our land is the real deal. this is the land of many different cultures n it's very fun to b involved in too. so for those of you who want to visit I promise....you'll love it.....day by day we are dealing with the crime rate so come soon.

I went to Guyana as part of a theater group. We did shows in Georgetown and New Amsterdam. While we were there we were constantly warned about how dangerous it was and we were pretty much confined to the Pegasus hotel grounds while in Georgetown and a smaller hotel in New Amsterdam. I enjoyed the country and thought the people were very nice.

Guyana is just like any other Country you would visit. A lot of people visit the Country and aren’t on lockdown but go out and have fun. Whoever fed you that information was ill informed . In any place that you visit- you have to use common sense; don’t not wear a lot of jewelry, flossing large sums of money etc. There will be certain elements that are willing to relieve you of your property. It’s like that in all countries!

This is a very strange video, not representative of Guyana at all. Cooking in an apartment or room and not tasting the local food?? Dancing to American hits all to yourselves and not going to hang out with Guyanese people? Why are you only representing Guyana as a pit stop on your way to getting visas for Brazil and Surinam?
