HUGE shout out to Mitchell Looper with M2C racing for coming through so fast with readily available upgrades for this beast! Also put in a Hobbywing 5687 1100 kv motor, 30 tooth pinion paired with the stock ESC. The truck did awesome and never overheated! The stock system is fast but the bigger motor just has that on demand torque! Had a total blast once again, So much fun driving around these big girls! Thanks for watching!

She was cogging a bit on me but this is an old motor too.🤔Yeah the poor wing had a bad crack in it from my last bash were she endured some nasty high speed rolls.😝Never really had any bad wing landings but the brute force of landing stressed it the rest of the way I guess.🤣🤣This rig is a pleasure to drive! Nice vid! I'd love for you share motor temps during and after a bash like this...I'm trying to decide between an 800kv (which most seem to favor) or the lighter higher RPM 1100kv. I like the idea of the 1100kv motor but I am affraid of thermo shut downs. I like to run 2 sets of packs back to back during a bash. Keep up the great work! :)

I'm running 39/39 gearing with the XLX2 AND 800KV MOTOR on my Outcast 8s and it looks and feels way slower than that 1100kv motor. I'm going to try 35/39 and probably 30/34 gearing. I puffed my batteries too with 39/39 😱

Thanks bro! No limitless spool yet, just stock with a 30 tooth pinion. The temps were fine on the motor but a tad less run time. The bigger motor is definitely drawing more amps off the packs! I have to run a 100c minimum. May need to go for some bigger mah soon! Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much bro!! The Mojave is a land rocket! IMO the Outcast is a bit more fun in the 1/5 scale. More agile and better air control once setup. The Kraton is badass too and holds down the power but I prefer the 1/8 scale if I had to choose. Those are just my thoughts though! Good luck with it bro! BASH on!!

In the Versions 2 and beyond of these 8s trucks, Arrma did a software update to fix the lag and power feed issue in the ESC. Much better for sure! I believe you can download the update from the Arrma or Horizon website.

What brand of gears were you running? Doing m2c parts and this motor swap. Having a difficult time finding correct pinion gear to match the 8mm bore shaft that'll fit this motor and match up to factory running gear on the outcast.

There is quite a difference yes especially in torque. Paired with a Max 5 it really shines but even with stock ESC it will make a difference.💪💪

I'm running a 30 tooth pinion on stock spur. I currently have a Max 5 ESC which performs even better. Even with the stock Firma ESC, as in this vid, she was fast!😎👊

No I just put some on the grub. Just clean it with alcohol to get any oils off.

I don't recall any major heat issues although this was probably pushing max gearing with this setup. I did give cool downs between packs. The ESC was being pushed pretty hard here but the Max 5 made a big difference! What was your temps? Anything under 180 degrees is acceptable imo after a full pack running hard.

You may need to upgrade to a Max 5. The Max 6 may be overloading on that big of a rig! That will cause heat and melt the plugs.

Yes it's running M2C. The M2C pistons were tested and drilled for stock 40 weight. Super plush! Added droop screws to go with it and makes a huge overall difference.

AWESOME Big Red Rip Brother Eric 😜!!!! Definitely has some good wheelspin with the 5687 onboard 👍. Sounded a tad rough down low, but the Max5 should help the extra amp draw with low end throttling. Props to Mitch for jumping right on the chassis 😍👌👌. She is very durable bone stock, but nothing beats 7075 T6 beef for going extreme 💪. Bummer on the wingmount, but bound to happen with this Huge platform. Loved the Huge sends and sundown Rips Brother!!!! 😍🥰🥰 Great stuff as always Eric 🤗🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

They made an update from the factory to take out some of the lag and sluggishness. I believe you can update older ESC's with a download from Horizons website. That's what I was told anyway.🤙

No you need the M2C large slide and also the motor mount as the M2C slide won't fit the stock mount.👌

Do you prefer the xlx2 combo or the max5 combo?
