Out with the New Arrma Kraton 8s EXB RTR with a new Brutally fast setup! Simply running stock electronics with Proline Masher X belted tires and 28/39 gearing! Really got her moving with decent temps! Had a total blast at both stops and only breaks were a wing mount and broken Motor lead in the ESC. I'll get her fixed back and ready to rip soon! HUGE thanks again to Arrma and Horizon Hobby! This is really a dream beast right out of the box!

Man!!! Killer sesh!!!! I run some 6mmX1.0!counter sunks in when my factory 5mm’s start to pull on my Ol big girl ocexb bulk heads and they’ve never pulled out of the bull heads! Went a little longer than factory too, been so long I can’t remember the length, I measured depth maybe 14-16mm back when I did it. Works like a champ, give it a shot!

Snag a 6mmX1.0 while you’re at it and it will thread right in where the 5mm pulls out in the composite parts, in the aluminum I’m sure you already know to loctite. I snagged a multi pack of 6mmx1.0 counter sunk bolts with various lengths off Amazon for like $20, well worth it, had some I used in the 6s rigs too! Watching this has me itching to get the big girl out soon!!!

That's a toss up! The XRT is lighter and is pretty tough too once upgraded. If I had to pick one though it'd be the Kraton!

@RCDUDE81 Before I put the weight fluid, it was fine, but the click wasn't loud. I put it and tried the car and it's so loud. The fluid leaked out again 😟. Do you think I need to rebuild the center diff?

I'd start there and maybe go 100k or higher. Is your center diff gasket in good shape? Also make sure the little grub screw hasn't backed out. Clicking though isn't good. It could be a front or rear diff. Usually a large ring gear or an internal planetary. Usually if a planetary goes you'll loose your 4 wheel drive. Maybe go thicker center oil and check your front and rear main ring gears.

If your running belted tires I think you'll be okay. I forgot my temp gun this session but she never got dangerously hot just feeling by hand. If you're running stock or unbelted tires a 29 will be a bit too much imo.

Replace the 16mm length diff case screws to Front-front 25mm,Front-rear 30mm, rear-front 35mm then rear-rear 25mm. You'll have the drill all the way through diff case screw holes to make thr longer ones fit. Itll grab on to a lot more plastic, reducing greatly the possibility of them backing out.

Those damn diff case to chassis bolts are the bane of the 8s lines existance. I wish Arrma would either add metal inserts to the cases to lock in the bolts to the chassis. Or just just thicker and more aggressive threads on their bolts. They eventually always pull out...hence bigger bolts and eventually new cases...then to metal cases...thats the evolution of that situation..😂

Horizon is sleeping on this truck. Zero marketing. The only videos are from guys who bought these cash a month after release. Meanwhile Traxxas demos them out to big channels weeks in advance and the videos come out when they are announced to the public so we all get peppered with reviews. Finding content on these rtr exb trucks is tough. Horizon is sleeping on these. What a shame, these trucks are objectively better than any large scale truck on the market and it’s not even close.
