This’ll be the first time I’ll be digging this deep into an Arrma. I’m used to Traxxas Tmaxx and HPI Savage which have a lot more metal components. I went from 2s to 3s in a mega that was converted to brushless, immediately blew up the rear diff. I’m reading that the mega has a different gear set, hoping it’s an easy conversion to change to 3s gearing to help handle the power. I’d imagine it probably has a bigger input gear to spread the power out better.

Plastic diffs? And it took 4s like a champ! That's nuts man. Can you get metal ones for it if ya want? 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
@heavymetalrc75203 жыл бұрын
Yeah, hot racing makes metal one. I'll definitely get them when these strip out.

Just pull out the four bottom screws and top shock screws and top turnbuckle screws out and the whole bulkhead and everything will come off

Hey friend, what diff set should we buy once we go brushless and brake the first plastic input and diff sets? lol
@heavymetalrc75203 жыл бұрын
I'm going through that now man. Hot racing makes a metal diff for $50. Arrma does make one but its sold out.

Great video. You don't have to remove the axles or take the shocks loose. Save you a little time the next time you do it. I would like to know how it drives after this. And I would like to see about how much 50k you used. The reason why, I used 10k in both and now mine drives like crap. It pulls HARD right at 3/4 throttle and doesn't want to wheelie at all. Then, sometimes it will go perfectly straight and wheelie on demand! It's really weird. Really interested in how this turns out.
@heavymetalrc75203 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip Jessica. I'll get this thing out and test probably tomorrow. Curious now to see how it does with the 50k. I filled probably half 50k half 8k so who knows.

Undo the suspenion and the 4 underneath and you can just pull the diff out. Good video, I just stripped mine. :/
