Arrma has basically rehashed the same models and added "upgrades" as did Traxxas. 6 on one hand and half a dozen on the other. And Arrma is having issues with the rehash of the big rock.......

The esc issue has been resolved new firmware is out yes too many new bodies thrown on a old chassis

I have the opposite experience with the Maxx v2. It has been bulletproof and my most reliable vechile. The Maxx is the only Traxxas I like and I wish they would use that 4s sytem in other vechiles. Generally really like the Arrma 6s lineup for which the Mojave 6s, Talion exb and now BigRock 6s. Maxx may be my favorite though. Vechiles that drive smoothly at all speeds are ones I like. Without having to spend extra on a sensored system. Hated the Sledge which was a surging really loud machine that is no fun to drive. No smoothness at all unlike the Maxx and Arrma's 6s lineup 14:58

Arrma killed it. The mojave 4s is a brand new design, big rock 6s is a brand new durable body design, and I found out that on the new 4s kraton and outcast they even bulked up the chassis where people were snapping them. They also added center diffs, new mud guards, AND lowered the price. Arrma is showing dedication to the people who purchase their vehicles, far from Traxxas' complacency and greed. That new xmaxx ultimate, like everyone said already, it's going to make the vehicle heavier and weaker, and on top of that they don't even give you their best parts to support that weight. I'm talking about the HD arms. The fact they left out the hd arms and roof skid on an "ultimate" is just a slap in the face towards the dedicated xmaxx and rc community that makes them so much money. Once i saw it didn't come with HD arms I immediately thought how when arrma comes out with the 8s exb rtr's, they didn't leave anything out, they give you their best parts STOCK. Yeah there may be QC issues, but they don't have a "super exb" chassis you can buy that doesn't come already stock. Durability aside, traxxas is modeling their product line far more greedily then arrma, becoming complacent making all the money, thus leaving out room for any innovation. Arrma is putting aluminum bulkheads, new shocks, and other stuff on their new 6s kraton. They do have recycled chassis designs and models, but they are giving people the option to keep their old one and upgrade it. Arrma basically makes sure all their rtr's are as quality as possible straight from the factory, with model refreshes as they need. I'd much rather see that than not fixing known weaknesses for nearly 10 years and keep charging the same or even more. I'm sure they're both greedy, but traxxas is obnoxiously greedy. Sorry for the ramble, was just thinking the same thing tbh.

To be perfectly honest, Traxxas to me is way overpriced for what you get in the RC. I even think Arrma is priced high on some of there stuff as well. However Arrma just seems to be tougher and break less. I sold my Traxxas Maxx 4-s after the first month and 6 repairs. I was more than happy when a friend from our local RC Truck club wanted it and offered $50 less than I paid for it. Should Traxxas come out with new RC's? My answer is lets make the ones better and more tough on the bodies and parts that going bad quickly. Tires are a good example. The Fire Team 6 I bought still has the original Tires. I did need to reglue one but still very tough tires and great tread yet. Even after 74 runs. Metal EXB parts are cool but as you stated not worth an extra $500. I respect those who own and love there Traxxas RC's but for now there not for me. Good video Enjoyed watching.

Funny I had the exact opposite experience I have had no problems with the Traxxas except a broken antenna on my Sledge they did during manufacturing. Arrma has warrantied a servo, esc, 2 recievers. My Outcast bent a drive shaft and broke the bumper mount. I still have original tires as well I did have to reglue the Xmaxx after almost 2 years I dont think that's bad. They are over priced and its a shame what is worse when something breaks we are expected to be the mechanics to diagnose and repair! I think the option of having a hobby shop do the repairs should be available under warranty not everyone knows how to work on these but yes they need to learn. I hope to see improvements on existing lines like the Xmaxx did get a boost up to 8s a while back and I want to see something innovative like the Promoto MX bike that is so unique I really enjoy it.

Glad to know because I am hoping that the XRT Ultimate will be in full supply so I will either buy it fully loaded or a fully loaded regular XRT in red with blue Ultimate parts and telemetry and LED lights.

Ya i agree Traxxas has focus more on the moving the brush version to 2s only & because They probably are over stocked with upgraded parts there pushing out ultimate version of there same models for more $$ damn the new Xmaxx is $1500 plus tax, sorry just my 2 cents, i love Traxxas however they really didn’t do much this year, Arrma & Losi is killing it 😉👍🏽💯

Yes i think that arrma qc has gone down a little bit, but for 1,500 dollars, u can put what u want on the xmaxx and im sure it will be a little bit less than 1,500$$

I think Traxxas needs to do a 4S XRT just like the Maxx. I would 1000% pre order that. I just don't have the money or space to buy 8S rigs, but I love the Xmaxx and XRT platforms.

I use to love Traxxas. I got out of the hobby a few years ago and now that I’m back into it, all I want is Arrma. They seem like a great company and they are affordable. Traxxas has dropped the ball over the past few years

I think if you want the Ultimate version of the X-Maxx you’ll pay the $1500 without to much worry. I also think if you know that you are going to be jumping your house (two story) with your X-Maxx… then you will still spend the $1000 knowing that you’ll be spending another $500 (minimum) anyway on parts and upgrades in the first year… So, Traxxas has put some functional eye candy out for a premium… if that’s your gig get one… if you are a hardcore basher get the other one. And if you just don’t give a fu@k, buy em both and use them on the terrain best suited for each. In my opinion

Yeah Arma came out with some great trucks this year but good luck getting any of the latest parts they advertise. Everyone of them are on backorder for months. Way to go Horizon Hobby.

Traxxas is too big a company too not have something in the works. The XMaxx XRT and the other one there are just to keep fans happy. They're gonna drop something, I'm sure. Prob new model or line up! And even if they don't, Traxxas, in my opinion, are very comfortable with what's out. They are deff making money 💰 🤑 💸! Traxxas does have trucks for beginners at a much lower price point. But the good stuff is mostly 500 or better.

Traxxas they have been an RC car company for they know what they building they probably making new RCS unbeknown to everybody why let you know competition know what you doing until you ready to Traxxas been around for long time your company do not stay in business unless you know they might be just designing or they got to be asleep even though I'm not stupid not to see a lot of the cars are outdated I cannot but if you look at them just because they're outdated doesn't mean they don't run good can I have a whole lot of Arrma rc car ready it not have dog in the fight is just how long can you in Traxxas have pulled out a long time I think nothing more wrong with traffic that it needs best people😊 but I will always like in Arrma 😊 to good rc company ❤

Hey how are you? Yeah I am just going to do rc stuff for now on. It got to the point traveling anywhere was a job grabbing cameras editing videos it took away from the fun of being on vacation and honestly just dont have much going on. I got back into this repairing an old rc from my childhood and started getting into new rc cars and even planes now
