Arrma Infraction Mega Unboxing and Review

In this video we unbox the new Arrma Infraction Mega. We dig into this new vehicle to see what makes it tick, plus, we put it through it's paces before giving you our thoughts on it. AJ makes a few modifications to excite the way it runs, but the rating we give is only for what came out of the box. Modifications aside, this new offering from Arrma looks exciting and fresh, even though it is a shrunken version of the original Infraction, which is a 6s car. Boasting a Nickle Metal battery and a brushed motor, this rig is not going to hit the impressive speeds offered by most of the Brushless systems out there, but true to form, AJ can't help himself but to tinker with it. Check it out as AJ tests this car, then amps it up to see how capable it really is.

I am responding 2 years later, I bought one June 2023 during the summer sale 149.99, added 3900kv, Blx100, later 17mm wheels, and a 50t spool. It rips love this truck! I can see why it was discontinued it hurt the sales of the 400.00 Infraction. My truck is so planted and people are just amazed.

Aj, I was thinking about getting one. Putting a brushless system in it. I didn’t like it at first but like the Maxx, it’s growing on me. Awesome video my friend!👍👍👍👍💯

I know the feeling. At first I thought it would be a bit faster out of the box, but quickly disappointment set in. Adding the 3200Kv system to it and swapping out the slipper, plus gearing it up a bit, made all the difference. Now I am happy to own it. Knowing how you run your channel, it will be interesting to see how high you jump it in the front yard, lol. All kidding aside, I think you'll do wonderful things with it. Best of luck. AJ

Looks like the grandchild specials!!! Oh yeah, the DX3 controller, can a lipo be put in it with the jst plug?

Thanks for asking. I took a look at the battery pocket in the transmitter and I can't see a way to install a Lipo without modification. If there's a way it's done, I can't see it. 😎👍

I instently put a HW max 10 SC combo (3200 kv)+ motor fan and a 20 tooth pinion into it. I run it on 4s. Its my first on road car. I like it a lot. It can actually take a beating. I have crashed it pretty bad. I have the plastic spool thing in it and it seems fine. Im just gonna leave it.

All good things. The spool was not part of the 3s setup for my other cars, so I swapped it out. Initially the spool worked just fine. I'm glad you like it. How do you like the 4s in it? Bash on. AJ

Love that you unboxed, ran stock, upgraded, ran upgraded all in one video!!!👍👍 I didn't even run mine once on brushed setup. I put in a 4400kv Thor motor with a MAX8 ESC. I increased pinion to 17T and kept factory spur. I also installed Arrma heatsink and fan to motor. I run it on 4s only with no issues. Runs really cool temps. Top speed I got with this setup is 56mph. Just got the new vendetta wheels in and will install soon and do another speed run. Thanks for the great video

Basically, the swap was with parts straight out of the 3s line from Arrma. The motor, speed control and such were all the same as the Granite 3s. All these parts can be found on eBay if you search for them. Unfortunately I do not have the parts numbers any more. I wish I could help more. Thanks for asking 😎👍
