Arrma Limitless 4S test MMX8S & SPEKTRUM 1250KV

After pondering about my old mmx8s and 1650kv castle combo going up in smoke I learned something that's not really shared. This is a revival rc video and want to share my recently learned knowledge with the community. I'm not saying it's all facts but something you learn from speaking with experts who sincerely want to help. However, we all know you can do everything correctly and something still goes wrong. That is the nature of the beast in the RC world.

I don't remember which batteries I ran on this but I can tell you that all my lipos during the time of making this video were all over 100C ratings.

How did you mount the motor, when I installed the motor to the mount it wouldn't slide, until the other part of the mount did you shim the motor or take some off the mount

It fit normally like it does on a stock Infraction. No modifications

@MatrixRC I understand that. I am using a 34/34 in mine but haven't been able to test it because alaska has shit weather all this summer. On a side note, that is 1 beautiful paint scheme on that car. I did yellow and black on my losi 22t. By far 1 of the best color combos. Great video. Thanks for the reply.

🥶🥶🥶🥶 Alaska, yea no gearing in the world will help you in those environments. You going to have to catch the right day and the right road conditions. Not an ideal area. But would be cool though to see an Alaskan speed runner putting up numbers.

@MatrixRC i know, righ? Winters are bad, but summers...perfect. 24 hours of daylight and high temps of 86⁰F. Perfect for running any RCs. Just had a really rainy summer this past one. I did get an infraction up to 96mph back in the autumn. It wasn't built for speed runs, tho. It did a beautiful triple backflip. My limitless is setup for it. Just have to wait for this 4 ft of snow to melt in another 4-5 months, and I can try it out. Will try and post some videos up on my channel when I do.

Question on the 1250kv motor when you manually spin the motor shaft is there post to be light or heavy magnet tension?

That's all a matter of personal strength. Best way to know is compare it to the EXACT SAME motor. To me all motors are easy to rotate but ones that have more torque will be more harder to turn. But your motors should never be free spinning or frozen stuck.

What size pinion did you run?

I apologize but I don't remember. I didn't keep that system in long. I swapped that motor with a 1650 right afterwards.

I have a 1100kv Spekrum motor and 780kv motor 🤦🏾‍♂️🤔😅

Those motors are a beast. I currently run 1100kv in my Kraton 8S with the stock spur which I believe is a 47T Spur and a 32T Pinion. I max out around 55mph. That's good enough for me.
