Hi there! I was wondering how the soldering of the battery leads/connectors works, also, what size pinion gear would you recommend for a Castle 1717 1650kv?
@zagertRC8 күн бұрын
@DutchDriverr Just don't touch positive and negative when they're stripped 😅 And that's a great motor. For speed runs it can handle 1:1 gear ratio with good batteries and ESC. But I always start small and work up, check esc data and gear up accordingly💪

I bought Arrma 30mm motor mount for my Limitless V2, Can I use Castle 2028-1100KV motor in default position? because I dont want to change it to battery position. the length of the 2028 is 113,2 mm and the car motor space is 110 mm. I can only ask from youtubers because I have to buy it online and I can't see it in person before buy. thanks.

Did you end up drilling all four holes? Only asking cause the 4th one (closest to the servo box) seems like it’s gonna be a pain in the ass with the uneven surface/groves. I’m thinking 3 screws with the gorilla tape should be good but I dunno

I’m new to the speed run game with my limitless V2. I’d like to know more info about how you wired your esc in Parallel. I currently have mine setup in series but I’d like to run in Parallel as well. So my question is could I plug in a Parallel connector with two ends on each side of my current series setup to run 4 batteries as well or do I have to change the wiring to do so?
@zagertRC2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to speed running! It's addictive! So I was too lazy to solder anything for parallel, so I just bought some already made and I just plug them into series connectors. Here's a link to the parallel wiring harnesses I bought. www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-qs8-anti-parallel

Great video, I'm working on a limitless build right now with the same motor and esc, do you have any suggestions for gearing if my main goal is to just boot around and I don't want to have to worry about overheating?
@zagertRC2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And with such a low kv motor you can gear pretty high for bashing around. If it were me I would start around 30/40 and just check Temps and data, then go from there.
@85CEKR2 жыл бұрын
@@zagertRC hey thanks for the reply just to clarify do you mean a 30t pinion and 40t spur gear? Thanks
@zagertRC2 жыл бұрын
@@85CEKR No problem, and yeah 30 pinion 40 spur. I say that because I see guys run 34/34 on the 800kv motor for bashing around in big trucks. So I figured a little more kv and a little less gear and you'll be good👍 It might be able to gear up more even.
