Phil, Danielle, thanks so much. Ever since I came across your books, I’ve found a consistent method that doubled my family’s net worth in one year, DESPITE the Covid-19 sell off! Your video reminded me of a saying; there are things that are simple to understand and hard to master. And investing is one of them. It’s deceptively simple :)

In this crazy market it can be hard to stick to the fundamentals that Buffett and Munger have been preaching all these years. That's why it is good to have channels like this one to turn to, to remind us of our principles and why we follow the classic value investing way.

Absolutely true. It's easy to go off course in these uncertain times. Thanks for following along. 👍🏼

Simplicity is key, and I do believe the industry needs to learn from that

I am learning so much from you two. Wisdom is so much more valuable that IQ. We need to know what we are competent to evaluate. Also wr actually need to take the time to do It and make decisions based on what we learn.

I don't know if Phil or Danielle read the comments but if you do, I'd like to ask a simple question. I recently read InvestED. Instead of spending all that time on research on moat and management etc at the beginning only to run the number later to realize that their financials are horrendous, how about we find a few companies in our circle of competence, do the numbers first and then deep dive into the fundamentals like moat and management if the numbers look solid?

Makes much more sense and saves time as well.

That’s a no brainer. Check the financials first, if theyre not good, dont bother doing further research

I’m right there with Danielle! I need a checklist to PUSH me into yes. My gut reaction if something looks great is usually “I must have missed something”! 😃

I think insecurity brings out arrogance. I agree with check lists to keep me on track. I need the time and experience too. Putting a lot of pressure on myself because I am running short on time. Trying to figure the best way and quickest way to beat the market. Thank you for the pod casts and everything you do to educate newbies like me.

I don't know if we have ever had Fed interference in the markets to this degree before. Equity prices have become so disconnected from the fundamentals that who knows where equity valuations should be. I am staying on the sidelines until sanity returns. I may regret it - I have before - but I am safe.

The one thing I don't like about Berkshire Hathaway is that they have billions on the side but don't pay any dividends. A 0.5% dividend would make it interesting

New subscriber here! Really like the simplicity in investing discussion, especially the Warren Buffett quote! Another KZbin channel I turn to for investment advice is Canna Campbell's SugarMamma TV. She recently started a podcast as well, I believe you would like her tips too! I'm looking forward to your future uploads!
