I didn’t go to college because my parents couldn’t afford it and I chose to go into the military in 2000. I’m now retired and paid for my kid to go to college and he’s got a 4 year degree but still drives one of my trucks, and lives at home lol. I’m sure most of these kids are the same way

I graduated high school in 1976. Top 10% of my graduating class. My parents couldn’t afford to send me to college, and because I’m not a minority I didn’t qualify for scholarships. I went into the United States Navy. Learned a trade. I’m a machinist. Been self employed since 2004 and have consistently made a 6 figure income even today.

This is why one should not speak on a subject when one is not knowledgeable of it. By propagating an idea, belief or thought, a person is bringing forth that into other people's minds. This is the basis of propaganda. If it is from someone influential and spread through avenues of mass media, it more likely than not will be able to sway people who are vulnerable/gullible. Other people who have a strong opinion on the matter, would also be swayed into certainty. They would be targeted by the push on the subject's viewpoint because the person who designed the promotion purposefully sought to reach that specific audience. It is the basics of forming speeches in public speaking and for persuasive essays. Something I learned in college. It is a scam because the Senate refuses to pass bills that support higher education with the funds necessary to allow it to be a free and accessible resource for knowledge and a career path. What he says about the airline analogy is spot on. If you go to a convenience store and buy a product that is 3x as much as it would be at a discount store that is located miles away. You are doing it because it is closer to you and easier to acquire and because you're probably lazy or maybe tired that day. You consciously know you are being jipped, but you buy it anyway because you want the product. The amount of time granted for the Pell Grant is not enough to get a bachelor's at a community college or to pursue the bachelor's at a four year university. Also, the loans having been forgiven or not, the direct result will and would be arrogant self-proclaimed students like the one speaking against Kirk. It is a risk. It is not guaranteed success, it takes effort and willpower, not just intelligence. Most people will not persevere through higher education because of the challenges and uncertainty they face, not because of the subject matter. What Kirk is trying to express to the general population is that they are being misguided into believing that simply by attending college they will somehow be successful and live richer, fuller lives. It is not the professors, college employees or subject matter that's at fault. But the governing bodies and boards that refuse to see the need for guidance and support for the youth

Did I hear that correctly. "The Soviet Union wasn't socialist!", the USSR? The Union of Soviet Socialistic Republic. It literaly had socialist in its name. Colleges need to teach history instead of idiology.

Good afternoon. I am a resident of Russia, once I came across a video of your reaction to the clip of Polina Gagarina - The Cuckoo, which is on your channel. There you said at some point that you had questions about the period of the Second World War. Maybe I misunderstood what I said, I don't know English well. However, for the sake of familiarization, we have long made documentaries on the topic of this war, starting in 1941 and ending in 1945. The voice acting is Russian, but there are subtitles. If you are interested in reading it, then I will leave a link in the comments. There are many episodes, many of them tell about local points. I recommend reading at least episode 1, about the beginning of this war, and episode 7, the Battle of Stalingrad. The moment of the story that is shown in the clip is told in the 3rd Episode "Defense of Sevastopol". I hope this documentary will be interesting. For us, this is a part of history, it is often told about, often without hesitation they talk about the dead, about how we fought during the Second World War. For us, that period was not a matter of victory, it was largely a matter of survival. I think these documentaries will reveal some new perspective about the events of those years. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWjYk4dpmq10r5I&pp=iAQB

People go by IQ people know this the Bell curve the curb. Our colleges have been using the bell curve for years all our college universities use the book the curve they say they don’t but they do in reverse. They make people stupid and give them more marks give them higher grades.

I honestly like this guy's clips but to be honest College isn't a scam. If you want to purse an engineering degree or a degree about a job that you're passionate about. then it's all worth it but by the end of your career you're debt free and have a good retirement salary especially engineering degrees.

"College is a scam" is definitely a way to get liberal's attention. But Charlie is an intelligent guy. This is a gross misrepresentation. Let's not lead young people astray believing that college is a waste of time. I already see the comments by the blue-collar crew talking about how," I done skipped college, and I'z turned out fine". College allows many people to learn a discipline and/or a profession in which they are trained to use critical thinking. They are taught skills to figure out complex problems and perform difficult tasks that many people cannot understand or perform without further education. Would you want a high school graduate performing your open heart surgery? Or would you like your high school buddy who watches a ton of "Law and Order" to represent you in a criminal case? Of course not. The scam part of college is the ridiculous tuition fees, costly books, and the rise of social science degrees(and I use the term science very loosely) and most subjects that end with "Studies" in their title. Let's not "throw the baby out with the bath water". There is no question that colleges need a serious overhaul. But let's not abolish colleges altogether. Unless the film "Idiocracy" was your idea of a utopian society.
