Not having the achievement is WEIRD. You can’t join official servers after the game updates. You would get that yellow banner that says you need to close and update your client, at which point they would get the achievement. So that would limit those accounts to hour farming unless they are using the steam achievement manager like Arrow said. The other accounts that might be case farming would have to be programmed to leave the game after rank up, click on the correct items on the main menu when it pops up with the rewards, not pick the graffiti or charm removers, and then after all of that if they tried to sell the cases for money wouldn’t that drive down the prices of cases?
@anonymousalexander6005Ай бұрын
Steam achievement are completely irrelevant, you can add or remove them as you please. You don't even really have to "run" the game, just make a fake client that mimics the real one close enough for the API to give you cases

Could also have a program that claims cases, which they can then sell in bulk to people who open cases or maybe gambling sites? not sure how it works I haven't played in years
@ml-uo7gtАй бұрын
@@anonymousalexander6005 The steam achievement is relevant as that’s proof that these specific bot accounts aren’t actually farming cases, it’s just farming hours and are being used to scam skins from people. As I didn’t see why they would be constantly online, farm a case, get the achievement and then remove the achievement again, it wouldn’t make sense to keep on removing the achievement. Also is your last statement true? Because don’t you have to actually have your game running and getting xp in order to level up and get the case? I know there was a method in csgo to farm without the game open but that was just sending the bots to a server and waiting 3 hours to get a drop as that’s how the system worked back then.
@ml-uo7gtАй бұрын
@@hexadecimal973 They will have to play the game first and level up to get the case before claiming it but 99.99% of these accounts don’t play the game (the ones in the ESL group) they just farm hours and are used as phishing accounts to steal peoples skins, that’s why sometimes you get random comments or friend requests from people who are online playing cs2 and are steam level 10-11
@ml-uo7gtАй бұрын
@@anonymousalexander6005 oh no I don’t trust valve at all, I’m just wondering how it would be possible to make a fake client to mimic you getting a level and then give you a case for it, because surely all of these Chinese farmers especially the major ones would of been doing that instead of spending 100s of 1000s on accounts and computers and private programs to auto farm in lobbies and getting 10s of 1000s of accounts banned, when instead they could just use the fake client like you mentioned. The only 2 things that I have seen in a similar manner would be the headless csgo case farming where you can send 1000s of accounts to different community servers without the game running but you would still need to have the accounts running for 3 hours to get the drop, and then of course with the commend bots in csgo too with how ever they worked But ye stolen accounts are easily obtained, especially most of the ones that are being used to phish others like the misaka ones in the video

Every Dust2 Deathmatch lobby ends by being taken over by bots. The bots are not kickable by players. They will call bots and kick all real players they detect. Will Valve ever admit they lost VAC source code when porting over CS2? Probably not. But do we know it’s the case? Yeah. It’s been over a year. As much as I love skins. We are three cosmetic updates in now. There’s no plans to fix anything. Just like what happened during Danger Zone/freetoplay update back in the day. Since Valve doesn’t give a shit, how do we real players take advantage to keep up??? How do we set these up for ourselves? I’m so sick of sitting around waiting for valve to fix this shit. It’s time to start cheating as well if cheating is legal. Every game I play of Comp is ruined by someone who toggles or was cheater the whole game long from Warmup to 13-0. You’ll have blatant cheaters with username “aimbot” playing the game with full inventory. It’s insane. I’m not joking either. I’m sure someone in these comments knows how. Hit me up please with a reply.

Hey Arrow, I hope you see this and I thought this was a cool thing to add. In tf2 actually on a server I used to play there was one bot creator who would name people from our group and create bots for tf2 etc... these bots would be just to farm on TF2. This was way before the botting crisis in tf2 and maybe started in 2014/15. I would not be surprised if the owners of those accounts for tf2 bots are also the ones creating them on cs now. Most of the bots with my name "King of Spies" have disappeared but during 2019 and 2020 more than half the people added on tf2 by bots would be sharing my name or fellow friends of ours to scam. They moved on to discord for a while and since 2021 went silent. I would not be surprised if they went to CS and that is why you have seen so many recently.

I live in Korea, and I am not exaggerating when I say that every single casual or deathmatch dust server here are bot farms. I managed to not get instantly kicked from a few servers and talked to some Chinese dudes on these servers, they basically rent these “rooms” full of bots for a few hours and farm exp, usually for the stars in the pass, one game gets them 2.5 levels in the pass and one game takes about 6 minutes. So roughly in 1.5 hours they can max out 5 passes. A few of them let me stay in the server in the opposite team and we farmed bots together for a few games lol. Some servers are just bots vs bots farming for weekly drops, death match servers are interesting where one bot spins around in circles and spams knife right click attack, and the rest of the bots on the server run to him with their back facing him feeding him all the kills. Usually I just get insta kicked by the bots or by the guy who is renting the bot rooms. I actually have no memory of a casual dust 2 game not being a bot lobby, all the actual players use the other casual map pool, but during off peak times the other map pools also turn into bot lobbies

amazing that some of the people here didn't know this is why the game has so many "players" online, while the game is dogshit and cheaters roam free

Isn't all of this accounts, at least the M1kasa ones only hours boosting? I don't believe someone that would case farming would have cs opened 24/7 PS: Some of this accounts are just accounts to get free steam cards from Summer/Winter sale. Usually owners of big steam level up bots own +25k accounts

What if... What if its chinese cyber cafes where they have public accounts setup on the computers and the computer is programmed so you cant tab-out of cs, therefore, the owners of the cyber cafe can both win the money from the people that pay to play and also win the cases to sell..

Is this why I kept getting booted I tried to play defusal map deathmatch this morning?
@Sukz0rАй бұрын
Probably, they are everywhere when I try to play deathmatch, running around with aimlock. I noticed that many of them stop play/stand still and sometimes disconnect when you jump into spectate and watch them. I try to get them to leave like that but then another will join not too long after.

but every bot account has to pay them the 15$ prime enabled thing to get the weekly drops right? which means they probably catch and ban these guys before they earn over 15$. Apparently steam knows about all our alt accounts and whop they belong too, (i dont have one but most people do)
