Maybe I need to rewatch the season, but I remember hating the fact that Oliver let Adrian “break” him. I remember thinking it was pathetic and embarrassing that Oliver allowed Adrian to get in his head the way he did and couldn’t beat him 1 on 1. Unless I’m not remembering the season clearly, I was disappointed by those things. I also hated Oliver’s diluted individual impact as the Green Arrow with him building an entire team which took away from Oliver doing his thing in combat.

@@arborealj6639 he would of been perfect if they kept the whole league assassins training from the comics, but kept his personal vendetta, character, and acting from Season 7 episode seven all the way through season 6b and season 7a and kept his skills and strength without needing the serum but already being at that level with serum without needing the serum in the first place. That would of been an excellent way to introduce a new villain who was very mob bossy but yet on par with Oliver queen, Talia, and raz aghul in skill level. I would of adored that season

I think if you take everything into account, Slade is number 1. The backstory with him and Oliver just makes it so much better that to me, no other villain is even close.

The motivation was weak. The Shado love story felt forced (from Slade’s perspective) and the idea that the Mirakuru was influencing Slade’s decisions (as confirmed in S5) makes his motivations and actions as Deathstroke less villain-y. Whereas Prometheus was self-conscious and hellbent on ruining Oliver every step of the way. He killed himself just to get back at Oliver.

I like to think of Prometheus almost as Arrow’s own version of Zoom, since Adrian broke Oliver down to his basic instincts and feelings, and Hunter robbed Barry of his father to further drive him into the dark, and make them the same. Also both of them just have intimidating suits, lol

Prometheus is the best because Oliver never actually stopped him. Adrian was always 10 steps ahead and even though when he blew up the island it didn't result in the death of all his friends as intended, it did kill his son's mom. Being that Prometheus wanted Oliver to kill him, and thus, kill his friends, you could argue that he actually threw the fight, and that it was possible that he was a better fighter as well.

It was actually almost funny seeing Oliver's brief moment of victory shattered when Adrian shot himself. Oliver thought he had won...

Adrian Chase AKA Prometheus is the best & the most underrated villain of Arrowverse. He was perfect ✨.He challenged Oliver psycologically to the point where Oliver was ready to quit being Green Arrow. He got through to him like no one else did. He broke him completely. He is the only villain Arrow couldn't kill. He killed himself to prove his point, to cause him pain even after his death. Even till the end he was always 10 steps ahead of Oliver. The actor Josh Seggara, played it wonderfully, he was perfect for this role. But the writers spoiled it all in S06 where only Samantha was dead & Adrian's death was for nothing only because they didn't have the guts to kill that many characters in the show. If they did Oliver would have been broken, depressed & lonely as Adrian said "I think you are one loss away from being destroyed". Season 5 was my favourite.❤ Permetheus was my favourite.❤

Damien darhk is one of my favourites just because he has great humor. I love how he does the magic thingy on someone and when they don’t get air he just starts copying their behaviour and he makes fun of them. I just don’t get why everyone makes him so low in his list. To add to what you were saying about Prometheus- every single main villain before season 5, whenever Oliver fought them for the first time, that villain absolutely dominated the fight. They outclassed Oliver physically. Chase was different. While Oliver didn’t outright defeat him physically in their first fight, both men were about equal. Chase’s lack of physical ability compared to his predecessors emphasizes what makes him truly dangerous: his strategic mind and ability to manipulate Oliver’s emotions.

Alexander Siggrig's Ra's Al Ghul is my favorite of the live action ones but each have their strengths and none of them are perfect. Even including the animated versions maybe none of them are perfect.

I like Ra’s Al Ghoul simply because the league of assassins is cool as fuck. Great costume design, the audio track, the culture of the league, all just super dope. I agree Ra’s himself doesn’t have the impact he could and should have, but his connection to the league itself makes me like him as a villain. Spade Wilson the best character in the show overall tho

Personally I’ve always thought Damien and the final fight of season 4 are overhated. Yes the final part of their fight when they’re just punching each other over and over IS really stupid, but that’s only like 20 seconds of a fight that’s like three minutes. The rest of the choreography is fine though kind of hard to see. The big battle where all of star city teams up in a giant army is something I’ve always had a soft spot for. Damien is one of the most if not THE most charismatic arrowverse villain and I loved every moment with him on screen.
