Arrowhead Hunt - September 24, 2024 - Kicking Off the Fall Season With a Bang!

This is a short video of an arrowhead hunt I did on September 24, 2024. I decided to hit an area of the river that I haven't hunted since last winter. The water was filled with algae, and the gravel was mostly overgrown, so I didn't have much hope of finding anything. The hunt started off slow, but it got hot pretty quickly once I made my way upriver! I scored three nice points within a short amount of time!

W ARROW HEADS! Could you say the dates? The hawk probably knows

I don't normally say the date range during live hunts, as I want to be able to double-check the dates online beforehand. The first point is around 1,900 - 3,500 years old. The second one is definitely Archaic, probably 4,000 - 6,000 years old. The third point is probably late Archaic, 3,000 - 4,000 years old. These are rough estimates, as I haven't had time to research the exact types for the second two finds yet. This hunt was from earlier today. If I made an error in my assessments, I'm sure the hawk will correct me 😆
