Always one of my favorite parts of artifact hunting. I love trying to find new sites that possibly haven’t been found yet, or at least haven’t been walked in a long time. Once you start locating flint, things get exciting real quick. Thanks for coming along!

Ok I know you don’t know me from Adam but you encouraged me when I told you I’d had never found a point but was trying. I’m in middle Tennessee on the Cumberland River and today was out fishing and saw a plowed field on Publix ground so I beached the boat and went walking and it Happened! My first point!! Wish I could show but I can’t on here. Thanks for the encouragement!

Wow! That’s so awesome Troy! I really appreciate you reaching back out to thank me, but more happy to hear you kept at it and found your first of many points! I bet you were super excited to walk up on it. It’s something you’ll never forget and will light a fire inside to find more. Best of luck from Teka and I. Hope you find a bunch more!

In OH IO, a "Madison" would be called a "Fort Anciient", according to Bob Convrse! Go Buckeyes!! Also, in Ohio, the black flint is most likely Coshecton flint. Zaleski flint. or Kanawha fint in se Ohio, You may have Flint Ridge materials, but it's hard to tell at a distance.
@artifactaddiction2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for joining along Howard! Ohio definitely has some beautiful material. Hopefully we’ll get back again yet this year. We’d really like to find a solid Coshocton point yet. Plenty there to find. Take care!

The Lone Ranger and Tonto are riding along the wide endless desert, they stop and Tonto climbs down and kneels and puts his ear to the ground. He lifts his head and says, "Buffalo come." The Lone Ranger says, "How do you know.?" Tonto says, "Face sticky."
