I'm glad you enjoyed it! Stinks though. The river is about flooded now. All that snow melted and ut went WAY up by the next day after this. Id say where I found that point is under like 5 feet of water

Thank You. I was going to go over there and metal detect today. But the river went up 3 feet since yesterday. Guess it is the dump again. All that is underwater now....that stinks

I will 100% find more of those on that shoreline. That is usually the BEST I can ask for....or a 3 cent silver piece. I have some of those from that place too. You can see from the ground it has some old pottery. I think that one piece I flipped is called Yellowware...and that is like 1850's or 1860's...so that is an old site. Even goes back to ancient times too

I got lucky. Got there at the right time. All the snow melted...and overnight the river went up 3 feet. That stuff would have been washed away.....today. PURE LUCK

It was actually like 40....it warmed way up...but it is raining a humid. And it just feels colder to me. The cold air from all the ice melting is laying in pockets close to the ground down in valley by the river....it was way colder feeling out there

You should scout out some rivers in your area. If you see the brick and glass. It will be loaded. I was going to go detect that today...but the water went up from all the snow melt 3 feet from yesterday. Have to wait a week or so. I bet i will do good with the detector

I picked up the metal detecting somewhere around 10 years ago and STILL havent found a seated dime. You find them sitting on the surface. 🤣Dude, that thing looks like it was dropped the day it was minted. It has BEAUTIFUL details. Nice job brother!

Yea....I almost did not even flip that...I thought it was some insert to a bottle cap. Those coins are so small....I think it is 1863 instead of 1862 as well...so small i can hardly see the date even with the phone

Yea, it was a fun day out...Only Bad thing. All the snow melted, and the river went up 3 feet since I left...shaahha. All that ius underwater now. Loioks like a trip to the dump. But it will go down....should be decent then to detect. All the weeds are died back now. I can detect it all

Nice point and those banks look excellent. A lot of material there. The silver is always a bonus. The area I'm from has lots of quartz, and every so often you'll find a point made from it. I've got one that's as clear as glass and perfect, but I don't think they are really made to be used. All I've ever found are "flimsy" if that makes sense. More like ceremonial. Thanks, Rocks

It could even get better than this. The brush and weeds are all dead now...so you can metal detect it all....I could find pre civil war gold coins....and much older stuff than that 1850 coin. That is a really cool coin....but I doubt it is worth over $50.00. I could however find something worth thousands with the detector...or some crazy historic metal artifact. I will try and order a new detector in march for the water

Yea....there is something goin on on that shoreline. There was something going on there prior to the civil war/ What i dont know....but I will do a bunch of metal detecting on that stretch this year and see if we can figure it out

Not much i dont think on the quartz. But in some of the river gravels.....it is there.That is an area with lots of gravels....covered by a thin later of sand. Th arrowhead was in that gravel layer....that was the same area there....a gravel bar.....but the gravel is eroding out of the BANK

My eyes are trained. I spotted it from yards away....just seeing the edge. The flint really stands out....you cant tell as much in the upload....in person.....you see every flake..easily

I see what you guys are seeing. That was a set of shells. Even in the clips I rewatch...looking at the gravels.....where I found that point. It looks like another point in the clip.....leading up to the point i found. It is not. It is your eyes playing trick on you. That is totally underwater now...LOL. Yea. But it depends. I have thought about this. What if I had to start today? i think i would buy a channel already monitized. Or start one....and have a place I could pay that would guarantee I was monitized. But that is not a necessary thing. You can start a channel and just work. And you will get monitized...just may take a YEAR. What you need to do....about a month of research after work each night. Talk to some of the channels who do uploads on ANALYTICS....and talk to those who have been here a while doing that. And if you are REALLY serious. maybe see if your local community college Offers a class on HOW to do youtube.....Or an Online Class......if not offered locally. I am pretty sure some of these LEARNING based websites have classes you can take.

Oh I wont clean it. That was nuts that was laying out. Caught in those roots. i will go back and take a metal detector. I never find a lot there....but i can usually come up with 10 mins of good finds a few times a year for a video. I have sifted gun flints there too....

Oh...I would never clean an old silver coin. Only the pennies and the junk from the dump. The river coins can be spectacular...and VALUABLE. there is the possibility for OLD GOLD
